Maybe todays mod will help me drive like Dr. Toshiya Joshima aka God Hand next time I hit the togue... or maybe not... most likely not but this steering wheel is still dope lol.

Mugen Steering Wheel Install
So happy to finally have all the pieces to put my ideal steering wheel set up together. Sourcing everything took almost 6 months. Fairly easy install and my first time doing it. If I can install this... you definitely can too.

Could you measure the distance of the stock steering wheel to stock hub vs your Mugen and quick release? Really want this setup but would like to get the wheel about an inch closer to me.

You should do the flush horn button. It will change the way it looks in a good way.

What's the difference between the Mugen and Momo tuner wheel? Is the Mugen really thinner than the oem wheel? Nice s2k, btw 👌

Thanks! I think generally they are the same wheel stylistically. With the Momo Tuner, you get the option of the 320mm or the 350mm, and your choice of finish between black and silver. The mugen wheel only comes in 350mm, with the mugen logo, and black finish. The only option you get with the Mugen is between suede and leather. I went with leather only because i thought it meshed better with the rest of the interior and hopefully will last longer. The Mugen wheel has a smaller circumference than the oem wheel.

Could you measure the distant from wheel to oem hub cover? I was gonna order the exact hub and etc

Base of the hub to the center of the wheel is about 4.5 inches. Message me on ig and ill send you a pic of the measurement @zaahid_rah

How's the distance of the new steering wheel setup compared to the original? Did it move closer? Asking cause I have shorter arms than average. I have trouble reaching the top of the wheel on track if I set up my seat properly. 😂

thanks for your question! I can't say for sure since I did not measure the stock set up, but it definitely feels like it sits a bit closer than before. im about 5'10 and this wheel suits my seating position perfectly. I believe is it also slightly smaller in diameter compared to the stock wheel so steering feels more direct. that could also help you get a better grip on the top of the wheel on track. good luck!

does your car have Honda stability control (VSA)? That should have a sensor and a wire too.

Nope, i have an 04. I believe vsa was added in 06.

I want to do this exact set up with my steering wheel. Except I think I want to do the quick tilt works bell instead tho. I'm not sure. My latest mugen purchase was all of the upper and lower control arm bushings. I'm positive it will be a night and day difference from my 190k oem bushings. I'll update ya on how they feel once I get them in and installed!!

I love the way the tilt looks. You cant go wrong with a tilt or quick release. Both come in clutch especially if you plan on getting a bucket in the seat future. Looking forward to your feedback on the bushing!

The mugen horn is cool but I thought it was kinda weird they would put two almost identical logos right next to each other. You have mugen logo on the horn button and then again right below it on the wheel. I think it looks much better with the honda logo front and center :)

@@zaahidrahman thanks! Its a car I plan to keep forever. You are doing all the right mods to your car. A boosted s2k is probably the most fun u can have on the street and I'm not saying that just because I own one. Lol
