A great achievement for a 26-year-old adventurer! Wishing you all the very best in the future! I remember watching your video during the terrible typhoon that hit Siargao! You deserve a happy ending surrounded by a loving wife and family, dogs, and a restaurant serving surfers & tourists.

Your nipa hat is nice, the key of having a good nipa hat canopy is you combine concrete pedestal on concrete footing for your wood column, if you dont it will not last long

My husband is an architect, he thinks the dark orange looks nicer with the black and he has a piece of advice to put hand rail on your stairs for safety. Congratulations on your new home.

Make sure you termite proof your house and get a monthly or every 3 months spraying because with so much wood in your house the termites are gonna have a field day.

Work ethics is hell in some other town. I had my nightmare experience, which made me ran off to Siargao for a few days to mourn the death of a dream. Because the workers decided to take a break to go to a bday party at 8 in the morning and drink coconut whisky all day. No wonder there is poverty.

You should make a package contract to employees or laborers that’s what I do in Philippines..if not it’s goingggg to be long, package contract means they come or not working the pay is the same for a package construction of kitchen for example or better yet hire like an agency or a package contractor system you don’t have to handle employees ..your just going to talk to one person..can be a little expensive (but you can haggle the price) but saves you time and headache..✌🏼🇫🇷

Well, most of those guys you have on site have zero construction experience to begin with and if they did, they learn them from neighbors and uncles handed down to them thru generations. All of have no proper building certification to show for. It's practically common here in the Philippines even in here in Manila unless you hire a Ayala crew or something, then your talking mega bucks. In the province where you reside its entirely that way. Is best to learn and do it yourself. Also, reduce your wood use as termites will be waiting to eat that in no time, they are very common here. Use aluminum or synthetic wood where you can.
@loveorangeToledotribe9 ай бұрын
Your place is awesome! After all you have been through Tal, im glad your house is almost done. You really deserve it 🙌 i suggest you sealed your kitchen cabinets for long life and away from termites… your property is really cool. You are blessed! I pray that you’ll have a great life in Siargao 🤗

@vbnurs9 ай бұрын
Wow, nice..finally and congrats! Are you gonna be getting Starlink? FYI: you can send huge boxes from America, Canada, and Middle East via sea cargo ( LBC, Makati Express. and etc.) weight not measured. Filipinos send boxes to the Philippines all the time. I packed the boxes densely and I’ve sent just about anything from US( foods, electronics,tools, kitchen appliances, clothes, and etc) it takes at least 2 mos. to the destination
@francesmcdonald81459 ай бұрын
I love that color orange outside paint. My suggestion that piece of glass in your shower you might have to install a galvanized pool that will hold your glass or any type of material maybe plastic tubing because of so many earthquakes in Philippines 🇵🇭 And also, I would suggest put galvanize railing for your stairs, so no one would slip and fall. I think your worker every day after they work you have to ask them if they’re going to show up the next day as far as I know, they always start at 8 o’clock in the morning. God bless
@rebeccamendoza93439 ай бұрын
love your house. maybe put glass surround for your kitchen with a sliding door to protect your kitchen from the rain and other elements like insects and animals
@trosenvinge9 ай бұрын
And in the next typhoon it all gets destroyed!
@sprikitik97199 ай бұрын
No need for glass, just balluster to sit on like a patio. Typhoon can shatter the glass if it doesn't have a bigger roof to block it from outside. It can be an open chicken and just install aluminum screen with wood to protect from mosquitoes, it's cheaper and even if a typhoon comes it's not dangerous when shattered.

FYI foreigners are not allowed to own lands in PH he can be deported for overstaying in PH he's building a house in a land which cannot be his he can be evicted

@@josepanicucci8591 Not if you sign a long term land lease with the Filipino owner. Man, enough with the scare tactics 🙄
@josepanicucci85919 ай бұрын
@@londonbobby69 the foreigner is still building a house in a land that he can never own & if the Fil landowner doesn't renew the lease contract (which is usually yearly) the house goes to the Fil. landowner FYI aside from lands foreigners in PH also can't own full business ownership ( the 60/40 Filipino first policy) The foreigner can be a PH citizen if born & raised in PH like the prominent Spanish Ayala family which I don't think is his case If you don't believe me you can ask a PH lawyer or the PH Bureau of Immigration about it Mr londonbobby

@@josepanicucci8591Lots of foreigners can open corporations and buy land through a corporation. Sick of nationalist protectionists fear mongering.

nice looking tiny house..nice seeing you back in PH! dang in the long run your house will be worth alot . land there in siargao is getting expensive. its getting more popular for the tourist. why you paying them per hour? you can pay them per day or the whole project cost we also called "pakyawan". just put a hard wood floor it will look nice
