I always assumed that the concept of fate and time on the Island of Creation works differently than it does anywhere else, like it's outside of the effects of destiny that isn't directly made so by the Fates, as in what they do in the moment rather than what they already set down to happen. If Atropos didn't bring Kratos to the past with her, all she would've done is just moved into that period of the past, and either made a different timeline that would've ceased to exist the second she left it, or that timeline would've continued however but not affected Kratos. Basically, you become exempt from time/fate, at least in terms of direct affects like no longer existing, or what you can and cannot directly do yourself, the second you set foot on the island, and only after you leave it does whatever events or timeline you are in affect you. God of War left things very vague and rather confusing when it came to time travel, so I kind of assume that there are factors making it so direct time changes don't affect you in some cases as others.

Kind of like how Simon's theme plays in the second part of the final battle against Dracula in Super Castlevania IV. Just as cool and hype as it is here. Honestly, I feel like more games should do that. There should be more games where they have the main theme play as the protagonist is close to defeating the final boss. It just adds a feeling of satisfaction and hype, and the feeling of "COME ON!!! JUST A LITTLE MORE AND IT'S OVER!!!" or "THIS IS IT! YOU'RE TIME HAS PASSED! I'M ALREADY GOING TO WIN!". After all that bullshit you went through to get there, I feel like it would be more satisfying and rewarding if your main character's theme began playing as you are about to defeat the final boss. And yeah, like @Patrick Starnos said. It's as if the roles have switched and now Kratos' theme becomes the boss music. Now Kratos is the actual boss. Not the sisters. The sisters have already lost.

Different lands have different rules. The fates didn’t control the planet only Greece, the norns were responsible for fate in Scandinavia
