The thing I love about this room is that they confirmed that Mayan, Egyptian, Norse, Greek, Japan, and all the other mythologies are apart of this universe which means that God of war can really go anywhere if the creators wanted to.

Imagine being the guy from Greece, thousands of years ago, dedicating your life making pots and vases, and you're very good at it, you're very proud of your craft, but one day you think, "Man, I wonder what this pottery business is going to amount to..." Millennia afterwards, archeologist go, "This vase is one of the most valuable representations of western civilization! Display it for all to see, but protect it, build a high security room around it! It's priceless."
@3ch0562 жыл бұрын
Umm, Kratos is real but he's not really like what's being portrayed here. He's supposedly the guy who chained Prometheus to the rock where he gets tortured. Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kratos_(mythology)

Looked like Kratos actually wanted Atreus to see this by 'accident'. So he could know about his past. Then he shared the wine and after some time revealed his past.
@seasnaill2589 Жыл бұрын
Definitely both. He hates the ghost of sparta, the man he used to be. That stare is the ugly stare of many unpleasant memories, lifetimes of regret for his actions. The wine brought him back to when he was a man.....the vase reminded him that he's still a god.

i'd say a mix of both.

God, when he opens the wine and the flute comes in as he smells it, that is just such good story telling. He gets a whif of what life was like before it all, a smell of a time long ago and you can barely see it in his expression. Very good, and that's just a tiny detail in this scene.

Honestly Kratos showed more depth and humanity when he shared a drink of wine with his son, than all past god of war games combined (and then some)
@garyrussell27936 жыл бұрын
Christopher Miguel Ortega Garcia I feel it really shows his growth as a person from all his adventures and his growth as a character cause I mean is was pretty uncaring and mean in the last trilogy. This really shows he reflected on his actions and he wants to try to be different, to be better than the man he was

I really adore that part in the music at 0:40 at the exact moment when Kratos inhales the smell of the wine. That high-pitched melody did such a great job of evoking a feeling of nostalgia. It actually made me feel a bit homesick as well.

I love Kratos' character development in this game. I know people miss the murder fest of the original series, but I mean...wouldn't something like this be the natural progression of things? I remember when i first saw the scene with the vase. You could tell that he was looking at his former self with hatred, but also pity. A man, consumed by rage, wanted nothing but glory. So, in an hour of desperation, he called to his chief deity, Ares. The Furies gave him 3 blood oaths, each worse than the last. To spill the blood of your enemies, to spill the blood of the innocent, and to spill the blood of your own kin. Ares final words were about making him into a warrior, a perfect warrior, and he succeeded, but suffered for his hubris. Kratos ks many things, a husband, a teacher, a father, but he is still the Ghost of Sparta, a name that even Mimir knew. This one vase told Kratos everything he knew, something that Athena even says. "Run from the truth as long as you wish, you will always be a monster..."

Kill4nia 7 a bit? He's completely tempered and disciplined, using his anger only as a tool
@kill4nia7366 жыл бұрын
fvck stephen that so debatable that I’m not going to start because obviously he still looses his cool that his son has to remind to chill they both do so so I disagree

Kill4nia 7 what?

How can you use anger as a tool? Do you even get what you say ? That still having no control of anger if you need to use it as a tool just like in Star Wars same shit with kratos

Oh god Kratos' tiny laugh is too precious. Man needs more moments like this after all of the violent godslaying he's been doing.

I always planned on getting God of War, but never REALLY felt invested after watching videos. But after seeing this “new” Kratos, I am definitely picking this one up just because of how he is in this game

It’s remembering his daughter and wife, the life he once had but sacrificed thinking only of his bloodlust and winning battles rather than his family. Now he’s considering his family before his own indulgences.

So after he kills all the greek gods and releases hope. The hop manifests into new gods and a new world and so on? Or is it like a percy jackson universe, where both sets of gods exist in one world
@Stefantius6 жыл бұрын
Massaquoi 💯💎🍉 all of the gods seemingly coexist in the same world, ruling their respective "realm"s.. No idea how the death thing works, though? Each mythology usually deals with death in the same manner, mostly treating it as a "transformation" of sorts, so depending on what "realm" you're in when you die, and depending on their rules, you could end up in their heaven, or their hell
