Veo a la gente tan obsesionada con el tema de la resolución y el framerate que empiezo a creer que no son capaces de disfrutar de los juegos si algo de esto mínimamente “falla”. Luego está la absurda “guerra” entre los que prefieren una consola u otra. Cada una tendrá sus pros y sus contras, pero personalmente creo que estamos ya ante un nivel de calidad en la que en cualquiera se podrá disfrutar si no se centran en los pocos detalles que pueden forzar a no querer disfrutar de la experiencia que ofrecen. That's because there's literally no difference in the graphics. What you are seeing here is just different resolutions and framerate. Textures appear sharper because there's higher resolutions in pro and Ps5.

@pit lord the PS5 can very obviously deal with better graphics than the PS4, it’s just not as big of an improvement from PS4 to PS5 because there’s not much improvement to be made.

I was just about to say the same thing. You can tell the higher resolution/frame rate on the pro/PS5. But when you look at the textures they still look absolutely stunning even on the OG base PS4. When you consider that this game is running on 7 year hardware from 2013, it is honestly a marvel the look at. Classic game.

The 4k 60 on the PS5 is definitely a massive step up from the Base PS4, but it's still insane how good they made the game look on the Base PS4.

So, we have recently gotten a few upgraded PS5 patches for notable PS4 exclusives with Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima and now God of War. I hope Naughty Dog will give the same treatment to their games such as Uncharted 4, Lost Legacy and Last of US Part II.

I think Naughty Dog will have a remaster instead, these are just boosts in fps but TLOU2 will probably get a true next gen release with improved textures and reflections and maybe a 60fps mode as well. Uncharted 4 with just a simple fps patch would be amazing though.

@@Labyriiint i wonder if that is possible, just a 60 fps patch wont work for atleast uncharted 4, because the game was intended to be played on 30, it was made on 30 and hence there will be many animations that were made 30 fps only, just making the gamepay 60 fps overall with animations still stuck at 30 would make the game just awkward and can introduce major crashes, just like hzd pc port.They have to completely make some animations again so what i think instead putting so much effort for just a patch, they will remaster the game and earn something out of it instead.

TLOU2 remastered maybe, but they will probably leave Uncharted 4 to Bluepoint like they did with the older Uncharted games. The thing is Uncharted 4 already looks phenomenal and it's a 5 year old game.

Thanks for this vid, kinda surprised to see such a slow load time from the ps5. my kingston sata ssd(480gb, 50 bucks at most) in my ps4 beats it by almost 3 seconds. really hope they optimize load times even more for crossgen/backwards compatibility

They would never do it unless it meant more money for them sadly. Tlou2 showed how much they actually care about their consumers. Yes ik people liked it but making a game only half the people who buy it will like is not how you do business.

I find that impossible to believe since this game has become the fastest PS4 exclusive of all time, selling 4 million copies in their first 3 days. I think that would define as the majority. I get it, not everyone liked the story, but without a doubt, the game on its own merits is a masterpiece. Regardless, we can't deny or confirm whether they will do a refresh for the PS5 or not, that goes for uncharted 4 as well.

@@MaxwellsUnearthly the reason most of the sales came that early are because nobody knows how good the game is lol. It’s the most returned game in history. Financially I’m not arguing it’s a major success but using sales in the first place to determine people’s enjoyment is stupid. God of war is years old and it has a 4k 60 free patch. Tlou2 released not even a year ago and hasn’t gotten that patch. Days gone even got the patch as well. Naughty god doesn’t care about it’s consumers. Yea everything except the story is a masterpiece but look at reviews. Not biased ign critics but real people. Definitely not a masterpiece. Look at the honest reviews of tlou2 and they all have great like dislike ratios. If everyone loved the game that wouldn’t be the case. Story is what people got the game for and it was shit is you’re paying attention. That’s why almost not all bias reviews say that.

Thanks a lot mate, great job on getting this vid up so quickly. I'm glad to hear the lacking draw distance and any bugs and crashes on v1.00 won't be an issue now on this latest patch, plus better loading times is always a plus! I have the game on disc and was glad that I did thinking this might never get a patch but now I think I can sell it and just redeem the PS+ collection version......or maybe I'll just keep the disc haha.

@@valusminotaurus9696 en esos dos juegos tienes razón, pero The Last Guardian se ve poco probable un parche de esas características... lo mismo Bloodborne. Este si vendió más, pero no creo que vaya a tener un parche así. Hasta donde tengo entendido, la forma en la que está hecho el juego hace muy difícil que hagan un parche así y he visto que incluso en PC emulándolo es muy difícil de conseguir.

I downloaded the update and installed it. But when I press options it does not give me the option to choose game version. I assume it is not a ps5 update. All my other ps4 games that are updated to ps5 show game version. I can choose ps4 or ps5 version. God of war does not . am I doing something wrong?

Its still a ps4 game... the update just improves Backwards Compatibility through PS5. so you just select PS4 version and play.

hola no se puede saber la resolucion exacta del juego? por que vi en otros videos que si por que si reescala de 1080 a 4k de 4k no tiene nada se que esta aclarado que es con Checkerboard pero mientras mas detalles mejor igual gran video.

Es bastante complicado saberlo debido a la técnica de rescalado que usa al igual que Horizon o Days Gone, pero yo díria que es una resolución cercana a 1620p o menos.

In layman's term it means how far you can see until details, textures, etc are covered by fog. I agree, there's no change in most of these comparison which is a good thing because the original game is already well made.

Este juego en una Ps4 base ya se veía una locura. Ahora no me quiero imaginar cómo se ve en un monitor 4k, aunque los ofrezca dinámicos. La carga poligonal que tiene el personaje de Kratos es de las cosas más trabajadas que hizo Santa Monica.

@@jhonnier6657 Si son 4k reescalados por la tecnica "Checkerboard", como es retrocompatibilidad con PS4, se mantiene a la misma resolución que PS4 Pro, lo unico que hace este parche es darle desbloqueo a 60 fps, claro... esto no significa que PS5 no hubiera podido con los 4k nativos si se le hiciera un port nativo.

Maybe its just me but PS4 looks better than Pro or PS5 the lower resolution at distance gives a mild impression of DoF (Depth of Field) where the Pro and PS5 totally lack it. I also don't know whats up with the load time comparison my PS4 from the main menu to in-game takes 40 seconds, I expect that'll go down to sub 30 seconds or so with the SSD I have on the way.

The difference is in the framerate. PS4 Pro runs at 4k Checkerboard with 30 FPS (or ~40-45 FPS in 1080p), while PS5 runs at 4K Checkerboard @ 60 FPS.

God of war en la ps4 pro logra un escalado tan bueno que ni te das cuenta, no entiendo el dilema de 4K nativo/escalado/dinámico si a duras penas se nota la diferencia, no se nota prácticamente nada a no ser que juegues con una lupa En esta generación podrían tirar del 4K dinámico/escalado para lograr mayores fps y calidad gráfica

Got the update and the game says 2160p checkerboard at 60fps, but the "Game Version" on my disc copy still says PS4 Version. Is that right? Or should we have a "PS5 Version" option right now?

I'm wondering the same. If there was an official PS5 upgrade then it shouldn't say 'PS4' next to the game's title. But it is confirmed that the latest patch 1.35 is the PS5 patch, so I think we're good to go.

I have a doubt. If I play GOW on the PS5 external disk, can I benefit from this upgrade? I'm not talking about reducing the load time of the SSD, but increasing the resolution and FPS. Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me!

I'm so happy that consoles have come to an age where you can select frame rates.. Performance or max settings 30fps.. As a PC gamer I always found it difficult at times going back to sub 30fps experiences.. Even though GOW, uncharted, the last of us, Mgs etc.. Are some of my favourite games ever and I played them all on console.. Can't wait to get my ps5 later this year.. I'm waiting for the release of the next God of war, hopefully they will have new SKUs improved temps etc.

Yea I feel u. I never played on PC. I didn't get it when everyone's said we want 60 fps etc. Now where I can experience it, it's almost impossible for me to go back to 30fps. It's insane man 😅

No. Si escoges el modo resolución te va dar el 4K 30 FPS de siempre. Lo que tienes que escoger es el modo rendimiento. Antes ese modo daba 1080p 60 FPS, pero con el nuevo parche ahora da 4K 60 FPS, pero solo en la PS5.

Going by what I read, the ps5 mode does not use any checker boarding or reconstruction, it is a native 2160p

@@ag4640 the ps4 pro mode is checkerboard which is where the confusion has come from where the original site listed a checkerboard mode in between saying 2160p and 60fps. I will wait for the digital foundry video as they do in engine pixel counts and will be able to find out if it is checkerboard or native 2160p.

I love me my Xbox but this just goes to show that Sony has always put in the effort. This generation is exciting cause it’s the first time the consoles are pretty well point blank matched.
