God is sovereign over all things. “Whatever the Lord pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places.” (Psalms‬ ‭135‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Amen! That is a powerful passage and it calls to mind others. Ecclesiastes 5 (very ignore passage) verses 1Guard your steps as you go to the house of God and draw near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools; for they do not know they are doing evil. 2 Do not be hasty in word or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter in the presence of God. For God is in heaven and you are on the earth; therefore let your words be few.

@@JimiSurvivor Yes, but God works in different ways. ”There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.“ (‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬) God asked Noah to build an ark in order to save part of the living creation from a flood. Nobody else repeated that later and will not again. Would you believe Noah if he does that in this time? 🤷🏽‍♀️

I was asked to stop preaching to Hindus by progressive/woke/NAR leaders. I was invited to preach at a Christmas event, mainly Hindus were invited. I preached and the “Christian” leadership was angry as I said what Isaiah said. But, I preached from Revelation. People hate to hear that all other “gods” are false.

This was my 13 minute sermon - I was told, “people in the audience wanted to kill you for what you preached”. I was told that I should have said Jesus was love, only. I was told these Hindus now don’t want to hear about Jesus, because you said their gods were false and powerless. This is a real thing.

That’s what happens when man wants to control time, space, his own destiny. It is the Anthropocentric view…..where everything and everyone (including their “gods” and “goddesses”….and the REAL God” orbit around man’s existence. Amazing how our sinful nature tries to quench the unquenchable thirst for autonomy. Soli Deo Gloria.

I trust His sovereign power over everything. I trust His transcending and overarching grace and loving-kindness. I trust His omnipotence and omniscience, and all His divine attributes that tell me He is the LORD God period.

Isaiah 41:21-23 New American Standard Bible 1995 21 “[a]Present your case,” the Lord says. “Bring forward your strong arguments,” The King of Jacob says. 22 Let them bring forth and declare to us what is going to take place; As for the former events, declare what they were, That we may consider them and know their outcome. Or announce to us what is coming; 23 Declare the things that are going to come afterward, That we may know that you are gods; Indeed, do good or evil, that we may anxiously look about us and fear together. This was the passage James White speaks of early on into this.😌

God give me strength. Even though every month I struggle to pay rent and I struggle to buy groceries for my children. God has always provided. These past three years have been hard. Since suffering a heart attack two years ago and my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed. Both of my sons are autistic but they are thriving now that I’m homeschooling them because the public school system wasn’t working. Due to me homeschooling them my hours to work are limited so are my finances. I’m constantly in fear of homelessness. But I STILL TRUST IN YOU LORD blind faith even as I struggle.❤

God’s sovereignty is much more powerful and wise than any Calvinist has ever contemplated. I’m sorry, but the definition of sovereignty is not the micromanagement of rogue molecules. ☦️🍞🍷
@frogpaste
@frogpaste 7 ай бұрын
The criticism of Arminianism reveals a slight misunderstanding. The Calvinist believes God is sovereign over time but still confines God _to_ time. Arminians believe, however, that God exists _outside_ of time. It's not a matter of Him seeing what will happen in His future and then decreeing it. He sees all of time laid out before Him because He has decreed that certain things will happen in _our_ timeline. He also allows us freedom to make choices and knows that those choices will not interfere with His decrees. When a free choice does interfere with His decree, we see that He intervenes. For example, God decreed that Pharoah would let the Israelites go free. However, Pharoah would never choose to free the Israelites on his own, so God intervened by sending Moses, as well as the plagues, which forced Pharoah to make the decision he didn't want to make. But during that time Pharoah made many other decisions that had no impact on God's sovereign decree to release the Israelites. He acted as king, judge, father, priest, etc. So God transcends time, He is not bound by time and need to "see into the future" so He can decree something that would have happened anyway. This is a misrepresentation on Dr. White's part.

Before he sent Moses he told him he wasn’t going to let them go and He’d Harden pharaohs heart though. I’m not a Calvinist or an Arminian just a Christian by faith in Christ. But the text speaks and God had given His word through men of His choice.

Calvinist have to take their interpretation of God’s sovereignty, that He controls every thought, action, sin, good deed, etc, to the logical conclusion that it’s not just God’s will that people sin, but that God Himself even compels a person to sin. Their sinful acts are mandated by God. I believe this error can be debunked with just one verse, “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.”

God's "sovereignty over time" is an absurd notion. God did not create a random universe. Rather it is organized by the laws that the Almighty created and then set in motion. God oversees the expansion of the universe and, occasionally, He has altered the movement of the earth but He does not typically run time backwards and forwards, speeding it up and slowing it down as He wills. Although God has not ordained that the universe run randomly neither is Heoutside all the motion, separated in a timeless dimension in which there is no progression or resolution of His divine plan of redemption? Without time there would be no Days of Creation, no progressive revelation of God. Without the succession of events Jesus could never complete the passion, be resurrected and ascend to heaven and re-create the cosmos. Without time, movement and change everything would be frozen. The Son would remain forever be on His cross of shame and humiliation, the Father would be forever forsaking Him. Without time and change our sins would never be forgiven and we could never be reconciled to God.

The sovereignty of God is a straw man. Find sovereignty in the scriptures, the word is not there. It is the foundation for an errant doctrine that challenges the righteousness of God.

James I just listened to an old video re sovereignty wherein you discounted child rape as a non-issue with God. I have prosecuted child rape and watched live child interviews in a safe house wherein the child recounts the situation. Your answer was despicable and thoughtless. Even God thinks so. Jeremiah 19 -- "Because they have forsaken Me and have made this an alien place and have burned sacrifices in it to other gods, that neither they nor their forefathers nor the kings of Judah had ever known, and because they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter My mind;" So James, your conscience is seared like the children sacrificed to bestial gods. It your response in 2003 is still unchanged and that is what Calvinism says, THEN CALVINISM IS AN ASS. Institutes Book 1, Chapter 16 par 3+ 8 and Chapter 17 Paragraph 5. Calvinism is the theology of thugs and brutes.

Please, Please, take note. The 10 Commandments have never been done away. There is no salvation for anyone who does not obey the 4th Commandment, the "Literal Saturday Sabbath." , If anyone thinks that Paul teaches otherwise, then that would make Paul the Antichrist that Jesus warns about in Matthew 24:24
@lawrencestanley8989

No sir. The Sabbath was a “shadow” of the New Covenant in the One who was to come. Colossians 2:16-17 - Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. This passage is very clear that things like the Sabbath were a foreshadow that had its fulfillment in Christ. The author of Hebrews says something similar about the entirety of the law in Hebrews 10:1. Therefore, passages under the New Covenant that speak of keeping the law (Cf. Revelation 12:17, 14:12) are references to one's relationship with the one who is the substance - Jesus.

@DocScience2 You are Biblically illiterate. We are told to “Rightly divide The Word of Truth” Galatians 4:21-31 tell us we are of one son-Ishmael=law bondage flesh OR Isaac son of promise=grace truth spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:4-18 tells us that to this very day a veil lies on hearts in reading of the Old Testament. Read Nehemiah 9:13-15. You twist Scripture and you are regurgitating thoughts not your own…sounds like an Adventist Cult system you’re enslaved by. The schoolmaster was the law. It brought us to The Master Jesus Christ. Hebrews 4:1-10 tells us as God rested on the seventh day from all His Works so too do the people of God rest from all of theirs!! You must be Born Again! Read Gods Word Jesus will set you free from your arrogance and your flesh. Wake up study Scripture! Romans 4:13-14 You are preaching ANOTHER gospel NOT the Gospel of The Bible. Galatians 1:6-10! Galatians 2:16 Galatians 2:20-21 Galatians 3:2-5 Galatians 3:10-14 What ARE the commandments of Jesus Christ? Go read Mathew 5 6 and 7 and write down each commandment Jesus gave YOU!!
