We know what we know about the world, and we’re told in the bible what we can apparently know (and NEED to know) about the nature of the world to come.
Is THIS really what the creator of the universe had in mind?
Is this what it’s all for?
If you accept Christian theology, then you have to believe that this is basically what it boils down to.

Eternity Edition: thanks very much to those who contributed audio of themselves screaming and suffering! Mixed in amongst the original sound effects I used are contributions from: Thulyblu, Taj B, Adrian PP, Dylan M, Flash Kellish, Anastasia, Dylan B, Jacob P, Crash TooTall, C Donoghue, Captain Bleirdo, mincerafter42, Corey M, D Peng (Beyond Philosophy), and John Bonjorno. I appreciate your help and hope it was fun (and hope that your neighbors didn't call the cops on you).
_____________________________________________
I have no doubt that the main criticism of this video will be that it takes an unsophisticated, simplistic, and fundamentalist approach to understanding Hell and the punishment of the unsaved.
Talk to the hand. The hand is holding up the book that contains this:
Matt 25:41 Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;
Mark 9:48 “…to be cast into hell, where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched”
Revelation 14:10 “he will be tormented with fire and brimstone”
Matthew 13:50 “…and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth
Revelation 20:14-15 “This is the second death, the lake of fire. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire”
Revelation 20:10 “And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are too, and they will be tormented there day and night forever and ever”
Luke 16:22-25 …And he cried out and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue; for I am in agony in this flame.' But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony’.
Matthew 25:46 “And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
John 3:36 “The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. The one who rejects the Son will not see life, but God’s wrath remains on him.”
Matthew 25:45-46 Then He will answer them, saying, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me. And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
Revelation 14:11 “the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever and they have no rest day and night”
Luke 10:15 And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will be thrown down to Hades!

I’ve had this video in mind since at least as far back as 2014. I’ve worked on it for minutes at a time every few months since then. Heaven and hell, for example, were drawn in 2016. I can’t believe that it’s actually complete. Whether anyone gets it or not is another matter.

Xinosis Xinosis The «you send yourself to Hell» is the most cowardly argument and feeble attempt to wash God’s hands off his own role in the matter that I can think of. God is the one who has set up a system where, unless we give our total submission to Jesus, we are by God’s design subjected to eternal torture, no matter how trivial our earthly transgressions have been. It is a deeply immoral system, and it makes a mockery of the love that this God professes to have for his creation. If this is «love», it is love of the most conditional sort...which is not really love at all. This God is like a parent who would lock their baby child up in a cage in a dark basement room if they didn’t learn to talk or walk within a set period of time...and then told the child that «you send yourself to the cage in the basement».

Particularly as we humble humans figured out millennia ago that punishment must be commensurate to the crime. In Islamic doctrine, if my son becomes an atheist he will be condemned to torment in hell forever, for having the temerity to question god's existence. And there is plenty to question and doubt. And, if i were a believer, i will be allowed to see all the people writhing in agony in hell one final time as i am led off to heaven. I ask my fellow muslims, what they would feel. Unlike god, I would not wish that fate on any human let alone my son. I am more moral than god ? I think so ...

As a former Christian for over 40 years I very disturbed by this video! Not because of it's content, or that I believe in a place called Hell (Which I don't), but because I used to believe in this place while at the same time believing that the Christian god was morally perfect, the epitome of good, loving, kind, compassionate, long-suffering...yada yada yada (you get the point). I am saddened that people (like I was) can be so brainwashed to miss the forest from the trees in religions. This video is 5 hours long and I could only watch it for about 10 minutes before I had to turn it off. How anyone could imagine a place of torment for eternity and be okay with it is beyond me. People have suffered terribly throughout history at the hands of sick men and woman, but the most heinous villains in history look like choir boys compared to Yahweh. The flood, and genocides god commanded in the OT were just a warm-up for this mythical narcissistic, bloodthirsty monster. Thank god (sarcasm noted) he doesn't exist. There are a lot of good kind Christians who don't like the thought of Hell/eternal punishment but somehow continue to sing the praises of this invisible being, convincing themselves that the people who will be punished like this deserve it. What do you think about the Germans who knew about Auschwitz and continued to "Hile Hitle"? If you're a Christian and reading this...WAKE UP. How could you follow worship a being like this. What "GOOD" being would want to be worshiped and cause people to suffer unnecessarily? I think every professing Christian should have to watch this in it's entirety weekly until it snaps them out of the brainwashed state. It took 45 years for me eyes to be opened and I used to be an evangelist so there's hope for anyone. A BIG SHOUT OUT to Non Stamp Collector for caring enough to make videos that allowed me to view the Bible through the proper lens! Your videos have been a huge part of my wife and I breaking free from the lies and control of the "Church"! ;-)

Then your definition of goodness is objectively wrong coupling with your ignorance or neglection of God's omniscience. No one in judgement day or in hell will question or reprimand God's judgment, refer to the rich man and Lazarus. With that said, morality is just a popular belief at the time, derived from biology and conditioning so it is just your opinion that God is "immoral", which even when presupposing God is logically wrong.(Atheistic worldview)

That's not even the worst part. In heaven your only purpose and activity all time for eternity is to worship god and pray to him. Even if you COULD do other things, you wouldn't because in heaven every "bad" part of you is removed, and since you do not need to do other things to survive, the "best" way to spend all your day is to worship him. So you just worship him every second in your existence. Nothing else. Just being on your knees and praise the lord. Millennia after Millennia. And that's just the beginning... But hey, you are brainwashed into liking this. You will be happy with this existence like you where never before. You don't WANT anything else... And if you think about that, that even means, that Christians don't live forever. Because their personality gets so dramatically changed and everything that defines them as a person gets removed because its "bad", that whats left in heaven doesn't represent that personality at all anymore. Its just an empty hull of their former being. If that would happen to me, i wouldn't say, that i still exist. That's just a completely different person, not me. Yeah, maybe heaven is the real hell. Even if someone could prove to me, that god exists, i don't know, if i'm still rather wouldn't go to hell. Also i would not worship the worst being in this universe just because i'm scared of hell. Maybe Satan is the real hero of the bible. He KNOWS he can't win against god's tyranny, but he still stands to his own morals, that god is evil and is willing to stand against that even though he knows, that this means his damnation. Just out of principle. That's true martyrdom for the good. By the way, i think that's the reason, why there is a "christian personality". Why Christians change they personality over time so drastically after "being reborn". Because they have to, to like heaven and even to give all their time to god here on earth. Because no "normal" personality would want that existence.

Immortal life in heaven used to satisfy people's imaginations. But now that we put eternity and heaven into perspective, Christians like to say "you'll be happy when you are there, even if it doesn't sound good now". An interesting excuse, but it suggests that the roots of Christianity don't hold up on their own at all.

Each cut to hell stays about 20 seconds, so each hell phase is about 964,285,714 years, and the whole video is about 876,101,772,735 (876 billion years). I've thought about that myself since I've done some criminal law work (I'm an Ontario, Canada Lawyer). There's really NO other justification for infinite punishment. I wrote a few paragraphs on it (below) and the only logical possibility is that YHWH is getting some kind of pleasure or benefit from burning people. See the restitution/compensation section below. "To even think of such an idea shows how primitive the writers of the Bible were. As philosophers have shown us, the whole point of punishment is to accomplish any or all of the following goals: 1) Retribution 2) Separation 3) Denunciation 4) Rehabilitation 5) Restitution/Compensation Punishment needs to be justified because on its face it is just compounding one wrong (the 'crime') with another wrong (the 'punishment'). So let's examine each of these with respect to Hell/Eternal Damnation 1) Retribution - This is the typical Christian theology. God needs to extract a vengeful blood-price for crimes against him. But retribution has already been proven philosophically unjust. We no longer exact "an eye for an eye" for that reason. Even IF you were to reject the philosophical and judicial advances of the last 300+ years, and say that retribution IS just (i.e. Two Wrongs DO Make a Right) - Hell/Damnation would still fail the test. Whatever your crimes on earth were, they were Finite. Hell is infinite. Infinite punishment for finite crime is Infinitely immoral, evil, and unjust. An infinite string of ‘wrongs’ committed against you because of your finite wrongs. 2) Separation - This is the one that more 'moderate' Christians prefer - the unsaved simply need to be "separated" from God - and it makes sense on its surface. They say, for example, that "God's nature is too pure to have any sin around Him!" The problem is when you consider the Christian god's omnipotence. Why can't this god simply make a separate, alternate heaven for each 'sinner'? This would fully achieve the goal of separation while not doing any further harm to anyone. They can even have facsimile family and friends so that they *think* they are in 'real' heaven, and even a facsimile god to interact with; while God is in real heaven with those He saved by killing himself. If my ‘limited human’ intelligence can come up with such obvious answers; surely the omniscient god of Christianity could do even better. 3) Denunciation - There is no need to denounce something or 'make an example of' someone when no further crimes can be committed, and there is no knowledge of whether any particular deceased person is in (or going to) Hell or not. In addition, it has been shown empirically that merely making something illegal has virtually identical preventative effects to making something a capital offense (i.e. the death penalty). So even if denunciation WERE a possible goal (and we KNEW facts about people going to hell, etc.) there would be no logical purpose to create such an enormous punishment. A tiny penance would be just as effective. 4) Rehabilitation - According to Christian theology, there is no rehabilitation possible. Damnation is eternal. Rehabilitation is also shown to be empirically unlikely to happen - offenders that are punished are more likely to re-offend than those who are not. And what kind of “rehabilitation” can spending time getting tortured in Hell by and/or with the Devil provide, anyway? 5) Restitution/Compensation - an omnipotent, perfect god would have no need for this. And Hell wouldn't provide it (unless this god is SO evil that it feeds on suffering/blood - which may be a possibility considering all the blood-prices God demands and his explicit enjoyment of the "sweet savor" of burning flesh [the Bible tells us 37 separate times how god loves the pleasing aroma of burning flesh]) "

Most screwed up thing when thinking about this is that the vast majority of humans are in hell, like 99/100ths of everyone who lived (more people in pain than paradise). When you realize that any one of those people in eternal suffering could have been a extremely good, charitable, and kind-hearted person who simply didn't believe in God, you get a whole new perspective on all those people screaming in pain. Many of them (and, almost guaranteed, most of them) don't even deserve it. They just didn't believe.

Side note: There's at least one scream in there that sounds like it's from one of the Roller Coaster Tycoon games, which... amuses me. Thank you. i was raised very fire and brimstone catholic and it's hard to explain how terrible lies we were told as kids can be very hard to fully feel okay. the lake of eternal fire for not remaining pure just... seems like such a big overreaction. But it's the scariest threat I've ever heard in my life. So, it's enough to keep most people in line. I'll probably be a little scared my whole life. No one likes the idea of dying or the mystery. No one can describe what it was like to actually, permanently die. They're gone. So, we try to fill that uncertainty with something. And it's a common and easy way to control lots of people, giving the answer, "YOU are special. YOU know what others don't. YOU get Heaven. Disobedient doubters get hell." It's not easy to walk away from the worst threat I've literally ever heard. I feel tough knowing I had the gusto to do it. Young too. Just... never made sense to me. Everyone HATED that. A LOT. I was 17 and my aunt said, "Does that mean you're going to rape and murder now?" I'm like, "Wait.... are you telling me that, if you weren't Christian YOU would be doing that!? That's like a desire you are resisting right now? I think we need to worry about you more than me right now. Because, that is NOT a good thing." But I was a dumb teen. So I just said something like, "no I still have morals" while staring at my shoes.

I humbly suggest that you do a third version where you put heaven and hell side by side to really underline how atrocious heaven is when hell is taking place simultaneously. DEAR ANGRY CHRISTIAN, PLEASE DIRECTLY, TRUTHFULLY & FACTUALLY ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS: There is tons of bibliography supporting Spider mans existence. What is it that makes Spider man more fictional than a benevolent zombie, a pit of eternal fire etc etc ? How many times during the course of history did a mortal say "Nah, what God meant to say is this.." for us to get to your specific denomination? Who/what gave those men the administrative power to correct an entity that is by definition "without error in judgement or execution"? On a resulting note..how is your religious denomination anywhere near the actual/original beliefs of that dogma/faith? WE EAGERLY AWAIT YOUR FACTUALLY BASED ANSWERS.

I'VE GOT QUESTIONS FOR YOU ATHIEST How can you live in a world as remarkable as this one and truly believe that there is no god? Do you truly deny God's existence or do just not want God to exist as an excuse for you to sin? Do you realize that you are being manipulated by Satanic influence? If humans supposedly evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys? Are you willing to admit that not believing in God is irrational? If you are wrong (you are), you go to hell. How can something come from nothing?

@@ramonbowman8463 It's very easy...i base my beliefs on facts...not faith. As soon as you can show me proof that "God" exists. I will admit the existence of said entity. Yet you can't. Until then...its as easy for me to not believe in God just because the world is "remarkable" as it is for you to read "The Amazing Spider-Man" issue #563 and not believe in Peter Parker. I don't need religion to have a moral compass, like you obviously do. Do you realise you are asking the questions of a fool? Tin foil hat wearing fool to be more precise. You aren't scaring anyone into submission with your imaginary punishment. Today's Humans and todays "monkeys" have a common ancestor...that doesn't mean that todays "monkeys" are the same with the "monkey" that is the common ancestor. That is common knowledge even for 6th graders. Again the rumblings of a fool. How about you stop living in fear of an imaginary "police man"??...or start living in fear of every imaginary "police man"?? Both courses of action would showcase a man of more reason than your chosen path. Any other "bright" questions you have for me? Pray tell, i can do this all day long...

Bah, I was going to submit some screams, seems I took too long. When I was 11 or 12 I accidentally set fire to my face by throwing a match into one of those large metal barrels with petrol in it. The skin on my face started to peel off. I have no idea why I shouted these words at the time as I ran around the car park in agony, but "get me out of here!" would have been very appropriate for this video. If there were an afterlife, and I went to heaven - knowing people were burning in agony would make it....not heaven. Especially if it is anything like the Islamic heaven/hell where the occupants of heaven can hear the occupants of hell screaming as their skin is burned from their bodies and then replaced so they can endure the pain of it being burned off again. Hearing my children scream "daddy throw down water" and having to reply "no, it is forbidden" would destroy my soul. What kind of a sick bastard would even think up something so awful? - And the companions of the Fire will call to the companions of Paradise, "Pour upon us some water or from whatever Allah has provided you." They will say, "Indeed, Allah has forbidden them both to the disbelievers." quranx.com/7.50
