Ok so, lets first think of the aspect: Did Jesus even exist? Yes, there was a guy named Jesus who had followers and claimed to be of the God the Father, which led to people accusing him of blasphemy and having him killed on a cross. He did exist, as nearly all atheistic and christian historians agree on. But the part they don't agree with is who he really was, whether or he rose back to life (like his persecuted followers claimed to have seen) because he was truly God who became the "Son of Man" like the bible states, and if this were true, then that would imply that God made sure that the words in those scrolls where written and translated correctly. Some evidence of the latter in relation to who Jesus was is that most initiators of religions are dead with found graves and bodies, but Jesus grave is said to be found with a piece of cloth with his face in graved somehow from the time that they did not have such technology. Evidence that Jesus was who he claimed to be? I think so. Lastly, if this were true, why would an almighty God separate himself from his power to feel the pain and temptation of humanity and die on the cross. Because we have been separated by our God for too long. God believed and it was time to allow for deeper connection to him, he died like we all deserved to on the cross, regardless of him never doing the slightest thing wrong and dying on the cross for me and you because he loves us He created a perfect world, and it will come back someday and the only way that you and me can be apary if it is through truly believing in Jesus Christ as our savior.

Whoa there, way too many presuppositions in play there. There is no reason to think that Jesus thought of himself as being of God, and plenty of evidence that this idea was ascribed to him later. Also no reason to consider that he was crucified for such things as 'blasphemy'. The Romans would not have given a shit about blasphemy. Unless you can submit new evidence that would convince modern-day scholarship of those two assumptions there's no reason to go on to the next ungrounded assumptions and the insanely massive non-sequitors that you nonchalantly wander on to.

@NonStampCollector Well, to clarify, the Romans actually proclaimed him innocent, but because at his trial the Jews were insisting that they killed him, shouting, "Crucify him", they did. The best evidence that I can give you is Jesus's own words in John 10:30 which say "I and Father are one", saying that he is one with God. I would also like to ask in relation to the video, what particular instances of narrative glue can you refer to in the Bible? I'd to insure that I address your initial argument.
@NonStampCollector
@NonStampCollector 17 сағат бұрын
Do you have any evidence to support anything in your first paragraph? I'm not talking about "Do you have anyone making that claim", I'm talking about evidence that might support the claim. A claim isn't evidence. I'm not trying to be difficult, but that which is just asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. If there's nothing to back up the claim then there's no reason to accept the claim.
@LoveGodLovePeople-yi7ty
@LoveGodLovePeople-yi7ty 17 сағат бұрын
If you are referring to the claim that Jesus and God are one, I would look to the grave. There are hundreds of documents other than the bible that talk about Jesus and his resurrection, a first century historician whose name was Josephus for example said "About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he ... wrought surprising feats.... He was the Christ. When Pilate ... condemned him to be crucified, those who had . . . come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared ... restored to life.... And the tribe of Christians ... has ... not disappeared." Plus, the bible is one of the most historically backed documents on earth.

@NonStampCollector 15 сағат бұрын
No I'm not talking about that long-ago debunked obvious late addition to Josephus's text which appears in very few, very localised copies, and doesn't match anything else that he wrote. I'm talking about the claim that the Romans declared Jesus innocent but the jews insisted on his crucifixion. That's a claim : is there any evidence of it?

Here I must partly disagree, however I generally can understand where you’re coming from. Hitler was a race based ethno nationalist socialist who wished to pervert anything he touched to suit his agenda, hence why he didn’t target atheists and even prosecuted Protestants in the country. Within the Reich Church of Germany (which was the church made up of multiple Protestant Nazi collaborators mind you) imagery of Adolf Hitler and swatsikas were rampant, and Hitler supported these people despite claiming to be a catholic. “The Reich Church ultimately ended up being a confederation of those German Protestant churches” Generally speaking, I’d argue Hitler wanted Christianity assimilated into his national race over class based socialism with him presented as an idol alongside Jesus going off of his actions. “Nazi ideology could not accept an autonomous establishment whose legitimacy did not spring from the government. It desired the subordination of the church to the state.[38] Although the broader membership of the Nazi Party after 1933 came to include many Catholics and Protestants, aggressive anti-Church radicals like Joseph Goebbels, Alfred Rosenberg, Martin Bormann, and Heinrich Himmler saw the Kirchenkampf campaign against the Churches as a priority concern, and anti-Church and anticlerical sentiments were strong among grassroots party activists” I guess I would agree though that Hitler wanted to create his own form of Christianity in the form of the Reich Church, but considering it was a confederation of Protestants, and Hitler later went against the concordat between him and the Catholic Church, I’d argue the Catholic label was a means to garner favour with the Catholic sect of the nation. Again, I’m not against the idea of Hitler being a Christian but considering how inconsistently Hitler presented his ideas and who made up the Nazi Reich, calling him a specific denomination would be a stretch. Edit: BTW you should maybe read up on Hitler’s alleged ties to Gnosticism.

if god is truely all knowing, all powerful, and all loving The he should, regardless of the situation or context 1: Be able to think of a way to solve any given problem wit hou causing any harm to anyone 2: have the power to easily make that solution a reality And 3: have the kindness in his heart that would make him want to do anything within his power in order make that solution a reality If he does not do all 3 of those things, then at least one of the following must be true A: he isn’t all knowing B: he isn’t all powerful C: he isn’t all loving And if any of those things are true, then that would mean D: he probably shouldn’t be worshiped

As someone who live in Vietnam, I am quite shocked to see that people have to “come out” as atheist. In my country, being a atheist is a normal and accepted thing everywhere, and no one would judge you or accuse you of bad things for being an atheist. Also, theists convincing and trying to “recruit” you into their beliefs is kinda disturbing to me, since in my country, christians and buddhist are more focus on strengthening the bonds within the community instead. One final thing is that parents forcing their children to follow their beliefs is crazy. At least in my family, no one, not my aunt or uncle, my parents or any of my relatives force me to follow any of their beliefs, I can be whatever I want. Thanks for reading hope you have a great day.

Yknow, there is a situation where I immediately denied an argument before hearing it out, but it was because the argument was complete nonsense, because I was a former Christian, and I also knew that the majority of people didn't believe in a literal Noah's Flood. This guy was trying to argue that a break in mountains was because of the Arc, when it was most probably a fissure that broke in the mountainside, because the Arc is a physical impossibility, even if we disallow global animals, regional animals would not have been able to have been maintained and the size would have been too great for one man to make, and this is before we consider the effect on the surrounding forests and woodlands. If we consider the entire globe, can't be done whatsoever, and the claim is the globe. Downscaled to regional animals, we already have problems with habitation space and repopulation efforts, just with 2 of each regoinal animal, much less than the entire globe of animals, if it were the globe, every species would be gone, flat out, just by required population sizes. This is why, when I was being taught, they knew better to teach a literal interpretation, even if I was a fuckin Mormon, and we don't like the idea of even just Caffeine, and are definitely more cultish in their beliefs than the average Christian (though not by much)

Man. This is my favorite video of yours EVER. The fact that the theist very blatantly moves to changing the subject anytime the atheist starts elaborating on WHY he's made the change from what he used to do to what he does now, because in reality HE'S afraid to hear the explanations because they may threaten HIS stance on the things he likes. He stops the atheist from elaborating on his new exercise routine because he BELIEVES going to the gym is the best form of exercise, and he tries to subtly convince him to retreating back to his old belief by mentioning how he was when he USED to partake in the activity. Then when he brings up being vegetarian, he tries entice the atheist bringing up (generally) delicious foods like hamburgers and barbeque, and as the atheist is explaining why and how he's a vegetarian, he stops him again to talk about how the atheist now has an iPhone after previously thinking lowly of those who used Apple products. And lastly, for some reason, he brings up Jesus and how he prevented things from being much worse, and from there he tries flippantly and repeatedly to get the atheist back into theism with what amount to little more than desperate practices like praying about it, getting him to read an apologist's writings, citing verses to convince the atheist, even trying to call one of his theist friends who would in all likelihood try to manipulate the atheist using flagrant rhetoric. And when he blows up he truly exposes his hypocrisy. "A typical close-minded atheist. You're not even willing to look at any other viewpoint that doesn't square with your preconceived atheistic worldview. Aw come on man, we all know about atheists; You people have got your mind made up and you're completely unwilling to look at anything new with an open mind. You refuse to look at any new ideas that might challenge what you already believe. Perhaps you need to learn to consider different viewpoints, or are you just happier closing yourself off from any new ideas that might not just confirm the bias you already have? It sounds like your mind's all made up before you even hear the other side of the argument. You don't seem very interested in discovering the truth for yourself, so typical of atheists; You won't even listen with an open mind to find out what it actually is that you're opposing." And the fact that you replace/remove words to suit different contexts and it STILL perfectly describes the mindset these people have, and even turning it AGAINST them... Golden. Fucking, golden. I don't obsess as much over the atheist arguments you put forward, although I do still commend them, but the way you can adequately and properly destroy this illogical, incessant, and irreverent "logic" that people, especially theists, possess.
