Godox Liteflow K1 compared to the CRLS from Lightbridge

This video explores what’s included with the liteflow k1 kit as well as how compares to the crls from lightbridge.

Also in my comparisons and 4 up moments I’ve spelled the godox system wrong. It is Liteflow not Lightflow, I apologize for the confusion!

Thanks for the test. Are the rear mount connectors for both systems interchangeable?

Hi still not too clear what if any the differences are between the Godox and CRLS (apart from the sleeping issue mentioned). Would you guys say that any difference between them is not wholly significant to choose one over the other? Thank you!

We wanted to leave the judgment upto everyone watching but yes, our takeaway was that you are getting the features of the Lightbridge at a more attainable price for owner op’s.. bonus is the better case, corners and #4 slash option.

Thanks for this comparison. Didn’t even realized Godox entered this market. Is the Godox able to maintain neutrality in color of the light similar to CRLS? Looks like their #4 doesn’t wrap around the face as soft.

Thanks for watching! The 4 is intended for a slash where the 3 is the softest. We did measure color and found them to be very similar.

Can you use the Godox mounting clamp for the CRLS mount ? Because it is way cheaper

As a mechanical designer/engineer, i cant comprehend the price of this and the lightbridge. It should cost 1/10th of what they offer it for.

This and the lightbridge are significantly different prices and don’t think it makes sense to clump them together. If you’re wanting to buy the godox kit CKL is doing a sale on them.

@@NYCMDP a stamped/cut brushed/polished aluminium sheet with plastic bumpers and an extruded aluminium attachment in the back should cost around 10-30 dollars for end consumer

@@NYCMDP the lightbridge price is outrageous, I just quickly googled these as well, and the price is just ridicolus, these panels are made in china for 1$ each, good news is that godox is in the game now so hopefully there will be some competition and more companies will release these and these prices will be reasonable very soon

@@johnnyweissmuller5838 if you can make it so cheap, you probably have a business opportunity right there. I’m a Dp and don’t make products but do know the best option in the market for years as been the CRLS and this is only a small fraction of the price of that..

@@NYCMDP I personally have no interest in doing it, and that is not the point, Godox can do it, they already did it! I design handheld electrical tools. I am just amazed by the prices they take for a reflective surface. I dont understand the pushback from you, dont we all want tools that are easily available and reasonably priced? Actually I did my own, now that we talk about it, I bought acrylic mirrors and glued 1/4”-20 threads in the back. It works great, and I should probably use them more than I do. My point is that if godox held the same profitmargin on these as their lights, these would cost 50-80% less.

They do make sense . Their prices do not make sense. Everyone in the US who works 5 years i. The cinema as a gaffer or grip starts inventing random stuff and selling it at an extremely high cost. Like crls dutti cardellini the knly one that works and is not overpriced is a dana dolly.

Check out the industry standard reflectors shown in this video. They’ve been out for over 6,7 years and cost 6500-8500

@@NYCMDPWhat's your best guess at the cost of producing one of those reflector sets that go for 6500-8500? 1000? 3000? 5000? Or is it $200 with 5000 ad budget?

You can buy big acrylic mirrors, cut to size, with rounded edges and an anti scratch surface for $50.

Does it not bother you that Godox are just ripping off someone else’s products? Dedolight for example have done years of R&D. Even the connection rail on the back of reflectors looks like the Dedo mount; despicable.

Thats what Godox does, they have done it to loads of companies. Its what China does, its state policy.

Didn’t dedo rip off crls though? They told the dude who invented it to stick to gaffing and started producing their own version. That’s the story according to the inventor of crls, who, to my knowledge, very much started the whole idea of manufacturing this type of thing.
