Akuma and Shin Akuma are avenging their brother Akuma by murdering God Rugal. This shit is better than Shakespeare.

So before we had Akuma and Cyber Akuma beating the shit out of everybody and had an epic final battle against Cyber Akuma that ended with Akuma congratulating Akuma and Cyber Akuma for defeating Cyber Akuma. Then we had Akuma, Akuma and Akuma beating the living shit out of everybody. And now we have Gouki and Shin Gouki bringing havoc upon this world to avenge their brother Gouki who was defeated by Rugal, just so Gouki's power takes control over Rugal's body to continue with the chaos. Gotta love fighting games

Gotta love it when you inadvertently play out the story mode. Rugal tosses Akuma, howd he get rid of Akuma the second time? Tossed his body, Akuma got shined up then tossed Rugals body, just like story Shin Akuma does story Rugal.

this was an absolute gem of a game when I played it with a buddy of mine on Dreamcast. One of my all time favorite fighting games ever. God Rugal was such a pain in the arse to beat!

me and my friend literally played this game till it wore out during its release. I introduced him to SvC on Dreamcast. me being an advocate for snk and him capcom, this was truly our millennium match we were looking for. so many great battle memories. 😃

CVS2 got best picks of characters and mechanics, merged them into something greater. That's something I can't expect on any other games.

This game was just sooo good. A large roster that had no clones, different meter styles (even customizable), great music, cool stages, damn solid gameplay. and just the overall style from the unique match-up intros, character portraits that changed based on which groove, the point system and the instigating announcer. I know alot of people say SF 3rd Strike is the best but this will always be my favorite 2d

Looking back at this, I find it funnily ironic that Rugal chucked Akuma's body at the start of the winning match, only to have Shin Akuma do the same to finish off Rugal.~

God Rugal's super is sick! Where he grabs you and holds you up! They need to put a super like that on the new marvel vs capcom Infinite

The only bad thing in this game imho is the overpopulated street fighter characters. I wish powerstone, onimusha, and MORE Darkstalkers chars made it to the roster. SNK isn't innocent either! I can't belive not one single Metal Slug character didn't make it smfh.

The moment you realize that this wasn't meant to be a boss rage, but it suddenly turned into one because you had to avenge your third Akuma who got royally owned by Rugal.

Max maybe you're not aware, but in the cutscene before the final boss, whoever is the character that has his dialogue shown (in this video Rugal), that's the boss you're gonna get, so if you get to the cutscene and Akuma is the one talking you'll get Shin Akuma

We deep lore now, In Marvel vs Street fighter, the two Akuma brother were looking for his third brother who was being mind control by one of the bad guy, they rescue him and got together to beat the main bad guy in Marvel vs capcom 2 and take a rest until rugal appears. One of the brother of the Akuma clan try to fight him alone but was defeated and his two brother need to avenge him. His brother could not survive the attack leaving them in shock, one goes to the tekken universe, while the other, Shin akuma decide to become a fucking lion. Does SFV Akuma it is.

The God Rugal BOSS RAGE! was my personal favorite. The editing and the acting was great. Good to see this game back again!

Personally Rugal is a way more badass character than Akuma, no offense to Akuma or Capcom fans.

If capcom decides to pull out CVS3 after the release of MVCI, they would literally be back on top as one of the best company's in the video game industry. if not, it's okay....MVSCI is still enough for me.

Hm, I'm thinking of a game where the street fighter cars are fighting against evil versions of themselves, with God Rugal being a guest chr but the main antagonist. As part of the story Akuma and Bison get into a number of fights and based on who you play, the final Victor of a series of fights transcend to become Shin Akuma or Shin Bison. As Shin Akuma you challenge God Rugal for superiority, as Shin Bison you challenge him as he is the current biggest hurdle in Bisons bid to take over the word! Other than that, awesome video Max! :3

I'm sorry but I personally think SNK's artwork of Capcom characters is of stellar quality than Capcom's attempt. Even when SNK did SVC:Chaos, I just thought the art and even the system itself was of high quality. People love to sleep on SNK, lol.

Always felt that Shin Akuma in this was a masters character for the fact that you took double damage, but in the right hands he's extremely deadly particularly when you use a custom groove with the infinite groove points unlocked
