I love that the second Ghidorah is resurrected as Mechagodzilla, he immediately tries to get revenge on Godzilla for killing him

I think Godzilla’s durability is his most incredible and underrated attribute in his entire arsenal. Took severe damage during the Kong fight and then got his ass whooped by Mecha G. And still got up, as if nothing happened. Guy’s a damn tank.

To be fair Godzilla isn't the "villain" in this. Everything is setup to make Godzilla look bad but Godzilla is just doing what he does. Since King of the Monsters he has sensed Ghidoras energy but could not find it and has been tracking it. He keeps attacking Apex bases because they have leftover traces of Ghidoras energy in the Mechagodzilla parts. Godzilla also being the Alpha titan, sensed another Alpha in Kong when they brought him off Skull Island and with how it works Kong either needed to submit or die, Godzillas job is to keep the other titans in check. The same scenario would have happened if Godzilla got dropped on Skull Island. Kong would have attacked him. The movie was designed to have Kong as the protagonist with Godzilla the antagonist despite neither Godzilla nor Kong being "good or evil." The humans are to blame for all of the bad things in these movies.

a fun little trivia fact: when Kong shoved the handle of the axe down Goji's throat, that's actually a reference to the original fight in 1962- Kong shoved a tree down his throat. the transport via helicopter nets to Antarctica is another.

At the end Godzilla said "You have my respect, call me when they make a Mechakong"

One more thing. Godzilla didn't turn evil he knew they was working on Mecha

Godzilla was like, "Man put that fucking axe down," and Kong was like, "Hey, alright dude, don't gotta tell me." Kong put up an ok fight tho for fighting something as powerful as Godzilla.

Saw the first 40 minutes of the movie and I was completely blown away by the visuals! Love it! 9/10.

I like how they never caught that Kong's axe was made from one of Godzilla's dorsal plates, or more accurately A Godzilla dorsal plate

The reason why we don't see the other titans at the end of king of the monsters is because Godzilla put the all back to sleep so ghidorah or any other monster doesn't use them again. It'll be explained in the comic book Godzilla dominion. Also you guys should watch the old Godzilla movies start with Gojira 1954

The best rematch of the century and it only took us 59 years to get it! I do hope they continue the monsterverse' I want to see other monsters to make a come back like Varan, Baragon, Hedorah and Gigan. They got a whole new universe to play in' looking forward to finding out more about the hollow earth in future films, I bet the sun down there might be an artificial sun created by ancient race of people that we have yet to meet. Lets hope they made enough money to continue on with the series' I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

In the first movie of the Monsterverse series, Serizawa said that the arrogance of man is thinking nature is in our control and not the other way around. A concept his son failed to comprehend 🤦‍♂️ 😔. His son blamed Gojira/Godzilla for his father's death, but in actuality he sacrificed himself to save Godzilla so he could save the world 🌎 from King Ghidorah. So, his irrational and unnecessary desire for vengeance on Godzilla by using the body and mind of the *_very monster_* his father tried to save the world from? If there's 1 one thing you should know about godzilla, Never and I mean Never piss him off! That 3rd fight in Hong Kong when he got back up after getting hit by that axe, he was pissed and decided to just take it to a whole other level with Kong. That was probably why when he stopped on his chest the second time, it was basically him telling Kong to stay down

Those fights was insane and I loved it especially when they went to Hollow Earth. First round Godzilla won! Second round Kong won! Final round Godzilla won! Even though Kong had lost he still didn't bow down to Godzilla. Mechagodzilla was a Beast, he was beating the crap out of Godzilla and Kong. But they work as a team and defeated Mechagodzilla, and finally they respect each other. This is my favorite movie out of the monsterverse 9.5 / 10!

It was 3 rounds 1 to Godzilla, 2 to kong and 3 to Godzilla, kong hit probably more times but Godzillas strength is on another lvl. My favorite movie of monsterverse is Godzilla 1 and GvsK, king of the monsters wasn’t the best but it does have the best trailer I’ve ever seen even better than BvS and infinity war in my opinion

Not only Godzilla is the king on ocean but he is ALSO the king of the land as well, there’s nothing that he can’t fight after all.

Saw this in theatres and LOVED it! I Feel like the fight between Godzilla and MechaGodzilla was very one sided. I understand that Mecha is supposed to be more powerful but i mean damn... Godzilla barely even had a chance to defend himself it was so painful to watch him literally get dragged😬🥴 and on top of that, Mecha nearly finished him off just like Godzilla did the last Muto from the 2014 movie😳 but overall a good move nonetheless

I'm not sure if you noticed or touched upon this, but, the blade of Kong's ancestral ax was made from the back scale/scales of one of Godzilla's species, which is why and how it could absorb Godzilla's Atomic Breath and make it cut into Godzilla even deeper and sharper 🤔.

Well if we're being honest here and talking about a fair fight, let's not forget that even though Kong was indeed tied up for a second, the whole military fleet was attacking Godzilla. In fact when Godzilla climbed up on the boat where Kong stole Godzilla and he retaliated with an and open palm that floored Kong, he (Kong) might have been done in right there if the military didn't hit him in the back to give him a chance to get back up.

-Godzilla and Kong's species were ancient rivals. Kong's kind became too advanced in the Hollow Earth, to the point they built throne rooms and potentially enslaved other Titans. Godzilla and his kind did NOT like that and went to war with the Kongs. They were winning until Kong's kind started making weapons from the Godzillas aka the axe you see in the film. So it was more even until the Kongs traveled to Skull Island to avoid Godzilla's kind until they were wiped out by the Skullcrawlers. -Godzilla was not a villain really. He protects the natural order, and he sensed that APEX was disrupting the natural order by using Ghidorah to create MechaGodzilla, and he sensed APEX was trying to replace him, which was betrayal in his eyes. That's what Madison meant when she said "Godzila left us in peace. You provoked him into war." -In the ocean battle, it was revealed in the behind that Godzilla was not really trying hard, and that he was "toying" with Kong. -Godzilla drilled into the Earth because he sensed the axe being charged, along with making it the burial for his species. Kong bringing the axe was actually the biggest insult to Godzilla, since the axe was made from his ancestors. -The left head of Ghidorah took over MechaGodzilla. -In the novelization, Ren Serizawa (the man in the skull), was jealous of Godzilla because his father (the Japanese scientist in the first two Godzilla movies) gave all of his attention to Godzilla, so he saw Godzilla as a big brother who got all of the attention. When Ghidorah took over MechaGodzilla, he also possessed Ren, and he is actually still alive. -When Godzilla destroyed Kong, he was ultra pissed off because Kong hit him in the head with the axe. That messed with his ego and he was like "okay, I'm really going to destroy you". -At the end, Godzilla waited for Kong to drop the axe, and when Kong dropped it, it symbolized the end of their species' rivalry.

All these films have tie-in prequel comics. This is somewhat of a remake of the 1962 Toho film King Kong vs Godzilla. Mechagodzilla is the robotic doppelganger of Godzilla and is yet another classic Toho monster
