I also took my belt pouches of survival gear and secured them to a trekking pole it works out well.

@@FloridaBoyBushcraftSurvival yes the pouches secured to the trekking pole hold six small lighters, fishing kit,snaring kit, flint and steel set, engineers compass, and Swisschamp SAK and long pouch holds a folding saw and mora-knife, a good walking pole for the woods

It’s good to follow what thu hikers carry... cuben fibre is a good strong ultra light, waterproof material

A nice pack that will work, and I discovered the small Westwind trangia alcohol stove works much better inside a GI canteen cup stove than it does in the triangular flat pieces.

Thanks! I actually made a 1" tin can stove that is the BOMB with my GI canteen cup stove....

@@FloridaBoyBushcraftSurvival lol I use two small pizza cans in the extra GI canteen cup stoves plus just got the two Westwind sets (but discovered the trangia stoves work really well in the GI stove. P. S., Wayfair sent four sets of the flat pieces altogether because they sent incomplete trangia sets the first time.)

It will be interesting to see what you carry in the pack. 1 of the downsides to going with very minimal gear is it then restricts a person to fair weather. The best way I know of to carry a sling pack diagonally is to have something carried diagonally across the other shoulder... like a traditional haversack on one side and cross draw knife water bottle combination on the other. Thanks for the video...
