The Army's digital camo is the .40S&W of the camo world. Very 2000s, and today nobody makes it and most people hate it.

I had mine attached to the bottom of my Tactical Tailor Extended Range Operator Pack, and carried my camp chair (the mildly lightweight ones with 4 little legs) and stuffed a poncho liner (Woobie) in there. Later on, I put my 10'x10' tarp, and tent stakes, guy lines, and a ridgeline, to be able to access that stuff without opening the pack, or stowing it away (even wet). Last week I used my original issued one from 2002-03, as a sling pack for a field trip for my son, where I put 2 Trauma Packs and a First Aid Kit in it, and I added an Eagle Industries V1 Canteen pouch (with full canteen), and a BDS Tactical Admin Pouch (with marking/note taking material) to the waist belt. I also shoved some snacks, Dollar Tree chem lights (to keep track of the kids in my group), and my small protein shake shaker cup, in the waist pack. It truly is a multi-tasking piece of kit. Keep up the great work !!!

I have bought enough for every family member and filled them with a survival kit of sorts. Shelter, fire kit, lighting, and small food items.

I use mine to hold my winter car kit in. It’s a great piece of equipment to own ! Nice video Matt !!!!

I have the same waist pack plus two of the large pouches, makes a great waist pack setup. ✌️🇺🇸

I added this pouch to the bottom of my 3 day assault pack plus if you put the 200 rd saw anmo pouch on the sides they are like mini sustainment pouches. They fit perfectly. You can use a hydration bladder on the top using the straps up there for your water needs. This configuration hold alot

I use it to put my hammock with bugnet, tarp and stakes. With some room left over.

They started calling it a woo by because soldiers started carrying it everywhere like a kid with their favorite blanket or toy. I know I still have a couple from my active duty days.

Great gear and video. The waist pack is actually attached by feeding the female buckles of the waist pack through the loops on the bottom of the pack. This way the zipper of the waist pack will be facing outward as opposed to down if you use the molle straps.

It’s ucp man. Acu is the army combat uniform.

ACU is an untapped gold mine.

I got a couple of those assault packs a few yesrs ago. They came with all kinds of pouches, a lisd bearing vest, and one of those waist pouch each. I did not realize it attached to the assault pack. I tend to over load pouches and packs lol. I have mine with a knife and canteen pouch on it but was thinking of attaching it to a load neaing harness.

Hey Matt , Thanks for this vid it led me to find a few answers . 1 I do know the answer about adding the poncho. 2 I do know whether or not I could still fit . 3 I know I can add the newer poncho liner they built with a zipper. 4 I know whether or not there will be room for other gear . The waist pack fits the TCOP combat tent but very snug. I have it mounted to the 3 day Assault pack.

Five bucks what a deal.

You can always dye the ACU or spray paint some coyote brown patches on it.... or just get it ungodly dirty haha. ACU is still a great urban and/or coastal/beach camo IMO. Just mix it with other camouflage and It'll blend right in.

If and when you trick out this fanny butt pack I would like to see it shared / I have 3 of them and am at a lack of ideas for it other then mounting it to a German A frame and on the back of my LBV / Happy Trails
