Golda is a powerful speaker. It was a blessing to have her as a leader and it is because of leaders like Golda that Israel has a military that is always solicitous about the welfare of enemy civilians and especially children. No other military endangers themselves to mitigate loss of life for enemy civilians like the Israeli army does. 53 years after this speech and the Jewish state of Israel's existence continues to be threatened and anti-Semitism is at an all time high. That is truly disturbing.

This speech was just three years before the Yom Kippur War. Golda was a very strategic leader who had a gift of getting as much of support as Israel needed, just in time. She ruled in difficult times of the October War and she passed the test well.
