I was today years old when I found out Goldar had a brother named “Silverback” 😂😭🤣

Goldar is an underpaid and underappreciated intergalactic badass! He was made the general of all Zed's and Rita's army. ...unfortunately, that wasn't saying much.

Goldar talks like Kazuma Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho although they are both seperate shows which I had grew up with and had fun watching! Kuwabara: SPIRIT SWORD!!!

Goldar was always one of the best monsters in the Franchise, the problem is that like Lord Zedd, he was dumbed down, on orders from the network. It's a tribute to his character though, that even then, he was still so popular that he continued to last until Rangers in Space.

Goldar's design is very amazing.

As I keep watching this, I realize how big and small Goldar was. He was the villain I was therefore growing up. I love him, in his own villainous way. I took it all so seriously as I kid...and I guess I still take him seriously now.

His original Japanese version Griffozar, he was incapable of speech until Bandora granted him it, he was also married to Lami the Scorpion warrior, and at the end they had a child together after being imprisoned by Daizujin.

Goldar is so fun. A mix of saint seiya with thunder cats,with lunarian wings 😻 sometimes he looks like a ape/gorila. His fangs migrate north/south. Hes so awesome💪💪💪

When I was a kid, I went to the live action stage show. I remember how crazy it was and all the lasers and strobe lights they used was pretty intense. I remember in order to destroy the last boss fight from the stage show, all the kids there were told to hold up their holographic cards you were given before you walked. The cards were supposed to reflect light and do something, idk it was kinda stupid, but a good show from what I remember.

10:00 Okay, let me clear up a common misconception regarding this franchise: Goldar was NOT stronger when he appeared in Beast Morpers, quite the opposite. His career as Evox's enforcer lasted two episodes (as opposed to the 175 episodes where he worked for Rita and Zedd), before he was blown to Kingdom Come, and the horribly botched plan also resulted in the deaths of three of Evox's henchmen. Defeated an entire team of Rangers? He did that many times in the original series. (Yeah, standing up to a team of 6 and winning is admirable, taking on a team of 14 crosses the line from bravery to stupidity) Stole their morphers? Done at least twice in the original series. Maybe his physical might had been augmented, but so had his notoriuous temper, which proved far more a liability to the bad guys than an asset.

If they reboot the franchise again, instead of Zordon, they should have Jason David Frank as a giant mist head, almost as if it's ghost and just dub his voice in. They'd have to get all kinds of voice clips and edit them, but it'll work.

Goldar and Scorpina were the best in all of the MMPR TV- and Movie-verse. They were iconic and I would like if they the original Goldar and the original Scorpina from S1 return for the 30 th. Annivercery special. Or in Cosmic Fury. They were cool characters, they were truelly bad-ass villains and non other season muscles them out. Goldar and Scorpina forever, amongst Rita &. Lord Zedd, of course.

I was there day 1 mighty morphing power rangers 6 years old. Goldar was terrifying I had his action figures heck I had him on pigs goggle it kids. But when they turned him into a comical character I started to dislike him it just to this day doesn’t seem right to me but I assume it was done to make him marketable so they could sell toys Man original rangers was so good

Even though Goldar and Rito were the show's best ever and most entertaining comedy duo, I did prefer the more serious warrior version of him over the comedic one from beyond season two overall. That being said, his progressive 'downgrade' from threatening space monster general to incompetent bumbling idiot was totally understandable. There's only so many times such a once mighty warrior can fail or lose before people stop taking them seriously. The giant golden ape was probably feeling pretty shellshocked, depressed and insecure by the time Zeo rolled around. Imagine going from being one of the most renowned and feared warriors in the entire galaxy for thousands of years, to getting your teeth kicked in on the regular by a bunch of nobody teenagers with attitude over the course of just a couple years. Seems like to me Zordon knew exactly what he was doing when he decided to recruit children as soldiers lol. I would have liked to have seen Goldar return as a henchman for another entire series of Power Rangers, in his more threatening persona, similar to how Elgar (a far _less_ threatening character) returned for In Space, but with Goldar's ultimate defeat after his short-lived revival in Beast Morphers, I doubt that's going to ever happen now. A shame because the Jason/Tommy-Goldar rivalry was always one of the best things in the original couple seasons of Power Rangers.
