I was doing a shakedown trip before starting my On The Road 2019 trip, and shakedown it was. The rough roads had managed to destroy the sound system in my caravan. I decided to continue the rest of this trip on the bitumen. We visit Menzies, Niagara Dam and Kookynie.

Quite a few old Gold Mining towns in the US, that where up one year, and down the next. But, when you look at how much an ounce of gold is worth these days. I wonder if reopening some of the old mines, might be worth it. As I was watching this video. I was fitting an Axe head to a new handle. I have all sorts of crazy hobbies :) Take care.

It wasn't great grand dads original axe was it, just 2 new heads and 4 new handles in it's lifetime? :) The thing with gold (or most minerals I guess) is how much mulloch they have to go through to find enolgh of the metal to make it viable. Cheers mate.

@@lauriekibblewhite Nope, a new one I just bought. It had a lousy handle on it. In US dollars I guess gold is about 2400 dollars an ounce. Point me to a old mine :)
