Golden Soldier is the definition of rags to riches. Went from the worst gold skin to one of the best. Extremely powerful, cheap, and only 2-4 is needed to handle hidden waves. An overall versatile and powerful unit. That doesn’t mean GScout is bad in anyway though. Both are real good, but GSoldier is just better in the long term + can handle flying units.

Note that Golden Soldier also benefits more from Commander's firerate boost, since not only does it shorten the length between bursts, but also shortens the bursts themselves.

Golden solider is my first golden tower and at first, I was really sad that I got it. But after using it in game it changed my whole opinion on it. It does close to the normal minigunner's dps while being much cheaper. I just love it!

5:36 not the mention that in certain maps, 8 Golden Soldier + supports like commander and DJ especially, it can kill a tank. Yes, a high speed, High hp TANK dies to 8 Golden Soldiers. Not to mention that they cost 9k each with the DJ discount on max. If this tower is spammed, it can be devastating to enemies in fallen mode.

I believe the reason soldier can do as well as scout early on is the range, which golden soldier certainly has high range in comparison, plus due to its compotence in midgame and to an extent in lategame, it allows for an extra tower slot for support or dps unlike scout which does fall off massively in midgame in comparison

If anybody wants a good idea on cash to DPS ratio, for every 1000 cash spent on a good tower you should get 5 DPS, if it is more than 6 the tower is a good DPS tower, if less than 4 it is a bad DPS tower

I dont have g soldier but i do have g scout so i do this in like every fallen game Wave 0-4 place 3 lvl 0 scouts and farm Wave 5 place a lvl 1 scout and farm til wave 7 Wave 7 upgrade the other scouts to lvl 1 and get another lvl 1 scout and then farm til 10 Wave 10 upgrade one scout to lvl 3 and farm til 13 Wave 13 upgrade another scout to lvl 3 and set it to strongest then farm Wave 18/17 upgrade rest of the scouts to lvl 3 and farm Wave 20 Just get an accel or engi alr

Its better if u get the golden soldier instead of golden scout because its also very effective in mid to late game. Both are very good towers but I think that g soldier is now better than g scout overall.

But i feel like golden soldier is an overkill tower and if u place golden scouts (which is cheaper) atleast u can get through the waves and golden soldier will just shred it. While costing more money. But once again, golden scout can still take out the waves while costing less money, not saying any is better tho.

In my opinion, the golden scout outclasses golden soldier in early game, because it can be spammed very easy and its very simple to use. Golden soldier is of course better as a backup dps if you have placed all your heavy units down, however in rare occassions where u dont need to worry about tower placement limit max golden scouts can be spammed easier and faster for dps. Golden soldier is simply better for solo games and team games, especially fallen. In solo you can easily max your heavy towers (accel/pursuit/ranger etc.) and need to spam lighter towers towards the end. Golden soldier also has some good attributes like flying detection and better range which can really help on harder gamemodes. On the other hand, golden scout is way better for speedruns, special events and easier gamemodes. Its all because of his pure value and amazing accessibility, he's very cheap with reliable dps and can be spammed in the early game as either the main defense or support. Overall, i think its just a matter of what gamemode are you playing. both towers are great early game defenders and have their own perks. I still prefer golden scout even after the various buffs golden soldier has received. 4:01 While they both make it to wave 7 with 600$ spent on them, 5 lvl 0 golden scouts, or 3 lvl 1 golden scouts can do just fine and you only need to spend 350-450$ on extra defense, while with soldiers you might need to get another lvl 0 soldier which costs 475$ 4:13 Well, lvl 2 soldiers are way better than lvl 2 scouts but you dont necessarily have to upgrade them to lvl 2. I tend to upgrade 1 scout to lvl 3 instead. He has 13.19 dps which has OVER 3x better dps than a lvl 2 scout, while his cost is only 2.81 larger. Besides that, his dps to cost ratio is around 5.67:1000 while a lvl 2 golden soldier has 5.58:1000 dps to cost ratio. Its not much of a difference but it proves golden scouts can do just as good on waves 13-15.

The max gold soldier is 11k whereas the max gold scout is 6k. For every 1 gold soldier is around 1.8 gold scouts. So the scout is more cost efficient as you wouldn't have enough money for 10 gold soldiers if there is 8 max accelerators, but enough for 10 gold scouts. Then again, it depends on your playstyle or strategy.

For pw2 early defense I’d say that g scout is better but if you are carrying someone I’d say g soldier is better because higher damage

The cost to max of the golden soldier is nearly double the golden scout. 2 max golden scouts has roughly 73 dps, while 1 max golden soldier has roughly 54 dps. In my opinion, golden scout is better because how cheap it is.

G soldier is very useful in hc : good dps for early, "cheap" hidden detection and flying detection

Golden soldier costs almost 2 times more than a golden scout and if you get 2 max golden scouts instead of 1 max golden soldier they will do more dps ,I prefer golden scout because its so easy to spam him.

Gold Scout is better for 3 simple reasons which is, it is better in the early game and nobody uses Gold Solder or Gold Scout in mid or late game because they're just not very good. Therefore unless you want to jeopardise your chances of winning by using gold solder in the mid or late game scout would be better. This is also very unrealistic, having no farms and having 12 max solders before about wave 30 (were it becomes borderline useless) is very difficult because you are mainly focusing on accel.

CORSO I appreciate your comparison but do not calculate golden soldier by it dps and rather calculate it via how much damage it does ever burst. If so, max golden soldier deal 120 damage withing it's to burts AND that means that 12 of them gives 1440 dps total. This is without call to arms as well. So while golden scout is better for early game, it also falls of later while 2 max golden soldier can literally handle wave 26 (Aka glitches) I MEAN BRO. 2 MAX GOLDEN SOLDIERS-- So yea I think golden soldier is better because of its better overall capabilities in mid-late game

Yes the golden soldier is better but normal loadouts are : farm, early game tower , support, and 2 late game towers so you won't actually place 12 scouts or soldiers, if you have golden mini gunner you can replace them in the late game.

Ok so here's my personal opinion of when I would take each one of them: Golden Soldier focuses in early and mid game and does decent in late game not to mention it has a little bit more range than G Scout, I would mainly take it for solo games, special maps like badlands II where range can be fully used and rarely for duo games Now Golden Scout also focuses in early and mid game but it's late game damage can be pretty low, the only advantage is that G Scout can be spamed and can clear waves faster than G Soldier, I would mainly take it for duo, trio and quad games where late game damage is not a problem Btw I made this before watching the video so I'm gonna see if we have the same opinion lol

Golden Scout is better for games that are significantly lacking in money like trio hardcore. If you are attempting duo hc, or even solo, golden soldier might be a better choice. In conclusion, golden scout is a lot cheaper than the golden soldier, consider wave 25 on hc mode, only 3 golden scouts are required if you wanna take down 3 shadow bosses. That means golden scout might be a solution when it comes to economic problems.

If you do an overall comparison like this guy then Golden Soldier takes the edge but in all practicality, Golden Scout is just better. Its wrong to say they are about the same in the early game because the Gscout has better DPS/cost and a lower cost denominator meaning its more likely you can afford them quicker instead of having to save. With Gscouts you can also just buy 1-2 before the game and get earlier farms while only losing a few lives, but snowballing your money which is not an option for Gsoldier

g soldier underrated now

Its really shocking how golden soldier went from a disappointment to something so versatile and useful anyways here are my opinion about both of them based on my experience Golden Soldier is Really good for hardcore when paired with something like pyro giving you time to farm + you said you need 4 soldiers for Shadows, however in good maps like crossroads or something with a long bend that utilizes the golden soldier range to its full potential, you only need 2 for wave 13 and 3 for wave 15. Golden soldier is just generally better. Gso Still has his flaws like being outclassed by Electro,Ace and Pursuit in Pizza Party Golden Scout despite being a lot less powerful still has some uses like Lost Souls, Quickdraw, PW2 and Speedrunning. His cheap cost also comes into play which makes him easy to spam (although i dont recommend spamming him). His main use is being a cheap early defense, A great choice nonetheless.

This video feels strongly biased, thouh i might be too biased as i dont have golden soldier You didn't mention single lvl 1 golden scout can carry until the slow enemies in fallen with very few leaks(and you can afford that because in mid-late game anything that leaks kills you) because he 2 shots all of them. Which is cheaper than just placing down a golden soldier, or that a lvl 3 gold scout 2 shots hiddens and hefties in fallen mode. Even though i still think Gold Soldier would have won, all you did was compare total dps and dps/cost ratio along with how they perform against hiddens(you could have considered the boss that comes before them or mystery zombies). And i dont think comparing 2 similliar towers based on 3 things is enough to actually be sure which is better, i would really like if you went way more in depth and try to utilize both of them to their biggest potential

for me, golden soldier is by far a lot better, me and my buddy used it in hardcore to handle the early hiddens and balloons, so for me golden soldier is the better choice

i find golden soldier better for fallen with my loadout being accel gsoldier dj commander and farm because golden soldier can deal 50 dps + the commander chains

well theres one more variable to consider when comparing these two towers, commander. gold soldier doesn't get a big buff from commander because commander does not shorten the time of the burst, it gets 64 dps at max with commander gold scout gets 55 dps with commander at max, and for much less. also for shadows use a lvl 3 gscout not lvl 2 spam lvl 3 defends w13 for a thousand less than what 4 lvl 2 gscouts would cost

Also it does better at hardcore more than Gscout

The fun fact is that I soloed fallen using only one early game tower, the golden soldier in the U-turn map Loadout Farm, Commander, DJ, Golden Soldier, Accelerator I wouldn't say there is a strat to this, because I soloed fallen without a strat I searched up with these loadouts, so it's possible while doing a mental strat.
