They didn't mention Cullen Bohanon, a man who played a great part in Manifest Destiny and meeting east to west.

The Golden Spike National Park in Promontory Utah is an incredibly sad location today. There is no activity, few visitors, and no restored or replica combine and passenger care to ride in (lettered UP or CP) to get the feel of 1800's era stem train. The state does not seem to care about investing for Tourism dollars for an Railroad line No longer having a "living railway" like Union Pacific or tourist line rolling through that location for railfans to enjoy is shameful. UP pulled up the rails saying (it was needed to fight WWII). If you believe that I have land to sell you in the FLA wetlands). On the Plus Side the 2 4-4-0' steam engine replicas (Jupiter and 119) are indeed well done, beautiful and worth seeing. But it would be great to have an active train a two passenger cars there to run down the extended old trackage.

Shame on you!! After 150 years, you felt no need to mention the contributions of the Chinese in building of the railroad which has been long overdue? There’s no picture with a Chinese face for this celebration?? And this was right before the Chinese Exclusion Act in 1882, yet this was not included in the American History books that are taught in schools!!
