ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On KZfaq and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This is the only golf video on KZfaq that makes sense... until you understand this concept, you cannot really work on anything else in your golf swing. This is everything and is something I had to find on my own a few weeks ago and changed my entire game. I wish I had seen a video like this when I first started a few years ago. Great video bud. This will help a lot of people. Cheers.

I know this is an old video, and I've watched it a half a dozen times. In my opinion this may be Danny's most important and best instructional video and right up there with the best of KZfaq golf lessons by any instructor. It's not complicated, but it's sound.

I have had a hard time hitting my driver consistently with power, most of the time I could hit my 5-iron just as far and more accurate, rendering the driver a useless club for me. This video has really helped me push the driver much further and accurate, understanding the principles behind it. It's just so well explained, the breathing exercise if you wanna call it that worked so damn well for me. It stops my drives from outside-in hits to inside-out with power to get that beautiful natural draw consistently. Thank you Danny, really thank you.

Hi Danny. That "pull power" description of what to do is just awesome, I can see how myself not doing that is letting me slightly & continually come " over the top". Appreciate your descriptions of many of golfs woes & once again you have come up with a beautiful way to enhance my swing, I will try that in the morning, my family are all asleep & im not at 6.30 in the morning so I go to a local football field where nobody is & I will practice that & let it become the way "I swing". Thank you Danny.

Great lesson, Danny: (1) Inhale Back...Exhale for the Return. Love weight training for golf. (2) Leverage & Balance: (a) [Hands & Forearms] form a [Triangular Balance]. (b) Add the [Shoulders] for a Great [Tuck & Form]. Why? [Hips & Shoulders] are Balanced! Goes great with Weight Training! (3) "What's the Key Move for me?": ...[Rotation of the Head]...along the Shoulder Line...for [Balance, Power & Continuity]. If the [Head Rotation] is [jarred or lacks continuity] then the Golf Shot is "stifled & you get a stiff neck"! Great Teacher, my friend. All for [Head Rotation for a Great Swing]!

You are the first instructor that I’ve ever spoken to that mentions breathing in on up and out on down. This makes total sense! Everything we do is breath related, workouts you press the air out as you push or pull the weight. Since I’ve started this, not only do I have better control of my backswing transition to my downswing, but my core is MORE activated through my ball strike. Of the THOUSANDS of tips that I’ve been given or sought out on KZfaq, or was provided in a lesson, the “Danny Maude Control Breath” is without question the best single golf technique ever provided to me! All of your videos are absolutely smashing! I watch a lot of the, perhaps, more well known instructors in KZfaq land and every one of your videos provides helpful information. I am no longer “getting stuck in” or watching the “Manchester guy” or any of the others. Your videos are, hands down, the best. Keep doing what you are doing, and THANK YOU!!!

Danny you are brilliant. I watched this video and your Best Swing For Seniors Video yesterday and played nine holes this morning. It was so much fun. I liked it all but the breathing technique coupled with the downward pull did the trick for me. I guess the initiation of the downward pull after breathing in through the nose must have taken care of the transition from the backswing to downswing because I did not even think about the transition and I did not seem to need to. I was already moving my right foot back and flaring my toes. I will be watching all of your videos and I can’t wait to play again. You have given me a sense of more power and control and !!!WOW!!! What a great feeling that is. Oh and also I am keeping my balance after the swing. These are the best two golf videos that I have ever seen.

Have made my own analysis of this move and figured out how to make it work for me. I set up a practice station with two alignment rods representing the plane on both left and right side. The gool is to make the shaft move just about touching the left alignment stitch in the follow through. This made me feel the DIRECTION/PLANE off the PULL. THIS made the exercise even more valuable. Made a few practice swings in the station and the went up to the ball near the station and made a real pull-hit with a golf ball. Thanks a lot for this video Danny.

Swinging a broom sometimes helps me develop a pull sensation. I like the breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. That was very helpful. Thank you!

Hi Danny, I have been playing a number of years and play off of a 12 handicap. Like most of us have good rounds and then some not so good. After watching this video and feeling the tug of war, as you described it I had a ha ha moment and how to keep the club on plain during the downswing, whilst generating power made sense. I have played a couple of times since and have been practicing. My drives have gained around 20 to 30 yards and I’m hitting one less iron on my approach shots to the green. Not only that the club face is squarer at impact and Im hitting more greens with accuracy. Thank you so much for your great videos. In Particular this one.

I played today after watching this and focused on the pull. Things went really well. You're absolutely correct that it is critical to complete the backswing so that you feel the tension in your torso which then helps to naturally produce the reverse pulling. Excellent. I'm sure this will keep working for me for another day or two. (Lol).

The focus on pulling the club through really helps me create lag better than any other tip I have tried. I had been told to pull the handle down toward the ball but that put too much emphasis on hitting at the ball instead of through it. Your description keeps my swing flowing through the ball better focusing on pulling with my left srm while keeping me from casting the right hand (I'm R handed) over the top. Great description Danny!

One of the best explanations I've seen on how to get more power out of your drives. I happen to box as well and any decent boxing coach will explain to you that proper power comes from the ground through your legs and torso and is transferred to your arms and then delivered through your fists so this really hit home for me! Will definitely add this thought process to my golf arsenal! Just subscribed as well!

suffered from the above and i highly recommend doing the drills. ive not tried the breathing drill but will try this on my practice swings. I got custom fitted and went from a d2 to d8 swing weight which is a similar feeling to the orange ball, because i can now feel the head weight it encourages me to pull and power rather than cast and slap. great content Danny.
