On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

A guy that I was in the Civil Air Patrol with got into the Air Force as a pilot flying F-16s then made the transition to the Raptor. Too bad the F-16XL isn't in DCS. XL vs. Raptor would be an interesting fight. A guns only Mirage 2000 vs. Raptor would be good, too.

I wonder when they're going to develop an auto gun mode which pulls the trigger for you just as your opponent is crossing through the impact point. Basically set a fire mode where when the pilot holds down the stick trigger, they arm the guns to shoot automatically when the targeting computer sees that your opponent will cross through.

Even when he shot down the Raptor you can see another clear 3-4 canopy hits. What amazed me was the ejection... There's no way a pilot is alive and breathing after several 20mm HEs to the canopy right? Bulletproof indeed...

AROUND 5PM eastern when I was watching this the F-22s from LAFB were coming home for dinner after a flight, they were making so much noise as they flew down my street I could not hear the computer, so I paused the vid till they all got by. Sound of freedom.

Here's a question I've wondered for a while: GS mentioned in this video "I'm too fast so I'm gonna pull the AB." Couldn't you also slow down by pulling a bit harder on the stick? If so I feel like it would be more advantageous since you would gain a few degrees around the circle. Or perhaps is the stick already all the way back and the speed would continue to build and the circle get larger? 🤔

correct, with the F-16 the stick is already all the way back, called a limiter pull, also at certain speeds and certain weights the aircraft will continue to accelerate even with full pitch back so there is no option but to pull the AB

The F-16 has always been my favorite US fighter to have ever been produced. Something about how a fighter relatively small can get out there and fly just about any mission you want and come back from dodging SAMs in Iraq to dropping the bombs that smoked Zarqawi, to dropping enemy MiGs, J21s and 22s, and even getting some upgrades recently to keep it upo to date on the technology side of things. It tells you something when we have 22s and 35s and the 16 keeps getting new tech made for it and is one of the most desirable fighters for countries that can't spend hundreds of millions on 35s but want something that can hold its own against just about anything out there gen 4.5 and below.

I don't know if mods for that exist but you should do this fight with the trust vectoring Viper and AI pilot (so no Human G limit) the US is testing around with
