Congratulations are in order for the Gonzaga Bulldogs who advanced to the Sweet 16 for the fifth consecutive year despite the fact that Gonzaga is a totally imaginary place. Last week on the show, Jimmy put forward a theory, that Gonzaga does not exist and it is causing a bit of consternation up in Washington State. Jimmy is trying to stay open-minded on this though. We got a call over the weekend from the Chancellor of the university (Fred Willard). He reached out to us and asked to speak, and to be fair we said yes.

Gon-zay-guh is the local accent. You’ll catch a lot of people saying “bayg” (bag) and mondee, tuesdee, wednesdee (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) it’s mostly the older folk, but we definitely have accent in these parts.

Giggity Giggity I disagree. There’s literally an entire Wikipedia page on the Pacific Northwest accent plus videos with evidence. It’s not a solid accent like Brooklyn or Chicago.It’s a fairly neutral accent with some slight variations and varies on depending on where you live. Pin and pen are pretty much the same word. aygs instead of EHgs (eggs) and layg instead lehg (leg). The list goes on. I grew up in a small town in central Washington and currently live in Spokane.
