I played against Lofton in high school during his senior year at Kingfisher. One of the proudest sports moment of my life was playing middle linebacker while he was the full back. He got handed the ball and we met in the hole and I absolutely trucked him. The following series I was running back and he was a linebacker. He repaid me for the hit. I basically woke up in the locker room at halftime thinking I was at Disneyland. He was a man among boys his entire career. When he said he kicked a lot of teeth in, I can speak from personal experience.

I had no idea how big the college sports game was. If I knew this, way back in my high school days, I would have done anything to be apart of this. This video was awesome, something I wish I saw when I was younger.

The first time I got a good look at the OU football facilities was 1991 when they had a bunch of high school juniors in. After that I went on several unofficial visits and an official. I was amazed at the facilities and how nice everything was. Compared to this it was absolutely terrible back then. The amount of money and effort put in to college athletics is amazing to me. Heck, the indoor facility that they didn't show is nicer than anything on campus was back then.

you should 100% do this regularly, idk if you watch bussin with the boys but the have a thing called a spring tour and they go to a bunch of colleges and check everything out. its awesome and id love to see good good do it too

Curtis Lofton is “him”. Love that dude. I remember me and my brother driving from Midwest City to Tuttle to watch Kingfisher play so we could check this dawg out. He didn’t disappoint then and never did after that.

as a KU alum, love seeing anything behind the scenes in the big 12 (even if OU is going to the SEC now). would love to see a KU behind the scenes for basketball or the new football facilities when they're built! edit: ok just got to the part where garrett talks about KU football sucking, it's true, but we have basketball

@@bologna_lover now that the football is trending up , hopefully the basketball team doesn't continue to drop off ? Last year was a rough one ! As a lifelong Indiana fan , i don't mind seeing Kansas drop off ! Lol But , it's weird seeing KU basketball NOT being dominant .

Next time you're in OK you def need to stop through Stillwater. Karsten Creek is arguably the top collegiate course in America. Gotta take a look at all of those golf championships OSU has in the clubhouse

@@DanShvons It's an alma mater song. It's meant to be sentimental toward the university. It's not a chant even though that's what it's called. It's a slow song. I am a Spurs supporter and a graduate from Oklahoma, so I know what Premier League football chants sound like, having attended games at Wembley, TH Stadium, and Emirates.

I hear you on the “best player in the league” stuff. Some of those are definitely opinions based on love for a school. We’re all guilty of that. However, the “Play Like a Champion Today” sign was 100% coined at OU by Coach Bud Wilkinson in the 1940’s. I rewatched it and he definitely didn’t say OU was the first program to slap a sign.
