This is one of my favorite opening for a musical. It just gives you a feel of the main character and setting with this song.

It is very difficult to sing this song. Its easy to lose control of your vocals and strain your voice. This song is very tiring. She did a great job!

I supose the tune and rythm was modified for the film, as is common in the films about musicals to print some difference to make it attractive to audience. Anyway, I enjoy Hairspray.

I love all broadway musicals :) this one is so funny and cute :) i perform with Stagelight Family Production/ Whittier Community Center Theatre its lots of fun:) they always do musical theatre :)

yeah, but movie is still better. the casting (i love Jonathan Dokuchitz tho), the dances etc. Some might reason out that it's hard to sing while dancing or dance after singing or vice versa. But damn, they should see legally blonde the musical.
