It is with a not-too-heavy-heart that I decided to step away from weekly video upload. This will help me reclaim some of my time, as well as producing higher quality contents for my audience. We will try this out, if I start getting twitchy fingers I may come back to weekly upload... but in terms of contents, I have some ideas that I would love to try that is simply not possible with one week turn-around per video. Let's try this out, and thank you for always being so supportive my friends!

I think that's a pretty grown up decision. Leon and Emily first. I think your tank can be put in autopilot now so no need to force videos. Use Instagram for mini updates as it might not be that labour and time intensive. God bless Mokz

I just wanted to say thank you for the content, and helping me so much with my tank. I fought Dino for close to a year until I watched your video, and you explained it better than anyone else did for me. Since then I have finally beat it, and have been able to enjoy my tank. See you on the next tank update! Also happy birthday to Emily!

Wow, I got into reefing because of you, and after seeing your budget tank. Since then, you've been so consistent, always having a video on Sunday. It's been one of my Sunday regular viewings. I forgot we age, time doesn't stay still and we all have lives. Sh**, I've got a six year old and let me tell you. They get bored easy and you end up wanting to focus more on them. Focus on your kid, family and look forward to your videos when you drop them, this is indeed a hobby that rewards patience and one that rewards those who put in the time.

You’ve been so consistent with the content it’s going to be somewhat boring, but your videos/content never felt forced and you’ve always kept your videos all about the reef and that’s the most I’ll miss. Of course the presentation or information you provide keep me engaged and interested… So I’m sure whenever a new video drops it’ll be good! As for myself I salute you! My ZOA’S on the other hand are throwing a fit over the news but like always, don’t mind them they’re MAD!

I respect the decision you are making 100% I love your outlook you have when it comes how you control this channel! Family first youtube second ( or 3rd / 4th or even last lol ) you are easily my favorite reefing channel just because your attitude of awesome and very positive. You keep it real for real everyday people. Many who gain a large following kind of forget why they actually even started doing all of these videos. Most of the time it’s just because they are passionate about reef keeping and you managed to maintain that same attitude the whole time. That’s a beautiful thing bro. Enjoy the extra family time! The real ones will still be here every time you decide to let us take a peek into your system 🤙🤙🤙🙏🙏🙏✌️✌️✌️ happy reefing brother

I had similar issues with my Zoas too. I did a couple of things that helped. (1) I did a hydrogen peroxide dip with 1:10 ratio with tank’s water for 5 min. Swish with turkey baster while you’re at it. Rinse in another container with tank water and place back. This would remove any microscopic slimes, bacteria, fungus or coralline that could be settled on them and irritate it but not visible to us. However, this may not be an option for you since you have large colonies on your rocks and it may kill all the beneficial bacteria on them and disturb the balance. (2) Use a turkey baster after lights out (or during moon lighting) to blast water directly within the colony. The amount of trapped detritus that comes out can be surprising and this seemed to help them feel better day after day. It’s impossible to keep them clean with just the wave maker. See you around.

my friend had the same problem with zoas half closing and reaching and it ended up being branching hydriods look very closely near the closed polyps and see if you notice them they look almost like feather dusters but they piss of the polyps you can try adding a butterfly fish or a blue starred lepord they might eat them but coral dips and manual removal are very difficult

I have a 6 month old son myself and totally appreciate where you are coming from - I feel guilty working on my tank sometimes and I don’t have a KZfaq channel about my hobby 😂 regarding the zoas if this is an issue you notice vary throughout the day it may be related to your dosing schedule or could be PH related? I’d suggest sampling water when things look happy and when things are closing up and comparing the results. Thanks for all your great content!

I had a very similar issue with my zoas. I have a nano zoa garden and the past couple weeks I noticed they were closed up and I tried alot to get them open. I finally solved this by lowering my lighting by like 10-15%. This was the only thing that got them to all open. Maybe that could work in your case

It maybe awhile, but you’ll be scraping SPS off rock as those frags are too close. I have same problem, think I’ll do it later. I watched WWC new video on 750g, those guys number one priority, spacing of frags. We’re all jealous of the Cancun trip 🥳. Everybody has cabin fever. Windsurfing Hawaii is my next trip from SoCal. 🥳 Just make sure Leon gets plenty of age appropriate umbrella drinks. 🥰

I saw a tidal gardens videos of the 5 corals he can’t keep and a surprising one was torches. His reasons were that they grow slowly and for some reason large colonies seem to just melt mysteriously too often. Definitely made me think twice about some of the high ticket torches. I’ve lost large ones myself I previous tanks without being able to say why. So unless the price a dragon soul comes down quite a bit I don’t think it’s meant to be.
