What preacher wouldn't love the movie Pale Rider where Clint Eastwood is a preacher! And what preacher wouldn't love to leave a church they way Eastwood left at the end of this movie.

Soul crushed .. her character has a fallin for the preacher. Despite age difference , it was probably common at the time. You can’t help to feel empathy for her character, specially at this moment.

This scene has ALWAYS got me and for that reason I can't watch it with anyone. But I love the fact that it's so unHollywood in that there's no dramatic music goin' when she's tryin' to thank Preacher. It's beautiful.

It's a great scene that makes this film stand out from most other westerns. That beautiful but forbidding landscape and the ghostly preacher vanishing into it, while behind him the person whose life he most impacted yells into the wind. Legendary.

@@princescottygustafski5331 She was in love with the preacher and he clearly could have taken advantage of her. Whatever the nature of our hero is, he was human enough to lay with her age-appropriate mother, who also loved him. So, there's two stories of unrequited love in Pale Rider.
