Hey, great job on the video. Great way to explain things in a simple way. Would love time stamps on the video so it's easy to backtrack to certain places in the video when you get to the range to practise. At least on the videos that cover multiple things! Much love from Norway!

Great job hosting this one, Brad. One tip to Brad/crew: the audio either needs to be recording in mono, or put the mic on one side of Brad's face (R/L) like on the side of his hat bill or something. The audio is very wonky when watching in stereo sometimes and keeps pinballing back and forth between R and L speaker as Brad is demonstrating and his head moves in relation to the mic or is immediately over the mic and the mic is trying to decide which channel to record.

I never usually comment but this fundamentals of the swing is exactly what I needed right now. I lost all my distance and consistency and couldn't figure out why. I realized I was trying to get more distance by throwing my hips instead of turning them. I put into action what you so eloquently described and my game today was amazing. Thanks Brad and Luke for demoing.

I love the way Brad broke everything down. It’s almost like he made something that is pretty complex simpler. Having good fundamentals is important in golf. So locking that down, will make it better for the golfer. I definitely need to record myself more. I have to be consistent in doing that every time I go to the range.

Great stuff guys. I’m near scratch, but I still need a refresher course of the basics sometimes. A powerful golf swing is a combination of lateral force(weight shift right and left), vertical force(using gravity and the ground), and rotational torque. Just like most amateurs, I overuse the lateral force aspect sometimes(swaying).

Great video, love seeing the Labs channel back! Note for the editors: something weird it happening with the audio panning. It's almost dancing back and forth between left and right channels when he's talking. His voice seems to be centered somewhat but the wind/ambience is bouncing? Not sure, but worth looking into! Thanks boys!
@ktzn

I'm commenting on your post in hopes the editors see this as well. Audio technician here, the audio has phasing issues. It's likely the DJI transmitter and camera audio are layered together, which is causing the phase issue because they are recording the same sound source at different distances. A quick and dirty way to reduce this (not without its own penalties) is to sum the audio down into a mono signal. Whether you render it in this way, use mono tracks, or a VST to help achieve a mono signal. I used my browser extension to sum the audio down to a mono signal, and it was immediately serviceable to listen to. However, if this happened in production, then I'd have to understand the workflow and set up to give any direction. Feel free to reach out if the Good Good crew needs to.

So glad you're doing this Brad. On my Journey to scratch and have been learning as much as I can about fundamentals and increasing consistency. I think a common area that a ton of golfers struggle to understand correctly including myself is a proper release and impact position. Is this something you are going to be talking about soon? Love the content and keep up great work!

Love this! I used to be really bad with a sway on the take away and lifting my head which would move me too far forward on follow through. What helped me was similar to this. Instead of the alignment stick, I would just pay attention to the label on the ball all the way til it impact. So I would put the logo of the ball on the back of it on the range and just pay attention to that throughout the process. Really helps!

Thanks for the tips! These are all very helpful. Good reminders and a few new ideas that I'm excited to try at my next range session. (I also appreciate any video with you two, you have such great energy together and I'm currently loving the match series.) One thing that you might want to clear up: it seemed like you were saying that a person should be using their chest muscles to move their chest through the swing. I know that's not what you meant, but that might be confusing to someone who doesn't lift weights or someone just starting out in golf.
