Hi Jules, Great to see how good that whole area has come along, and so good to see it with traffic 😎 The gates definitely need some work as you say, but they still look good. Maybe pretend they have only jut been installed? That’d be an interesting cameo 😄 The coal truck and weighing scales really have made a difference to the coal yard which looks evermore convincing 🤔 Interesting you saying about Milton Keynes. I am planning to go myself so hopefully we can bump into one another there! Believe me, the Making Tracks exhibit will be worth it alone! 😎 Saw N°3 at Chester last month and it was even better than N°2 which I thought would be impossible! 🤷🏻‍♂️ Also, ifyou and Paul fancy a quick tip over the river, we are in Leigh on Sea in Essex. Great video again Julian, coal yard is looking great. Have just come back from a trip to Italy, Portugal and London (didnt time it well with the Milton Keynes event lol). Took at trip on the Eurostar from London across to Lille in France - great experience, and used the trip in Portugal which was good. Visited Janes Trains in Tooting, London - a great model railway shop, very helpful and keen to assist - needless to say they have packaged up a decent parcel of "goodies" which I purchased, and its on its way to me in Perth, WA!! Have a great trip!

When you come to York there’s a lovely model shop here. Monk Bar Models. Went on the NYMR a couple of weeks ago. Had an enjoyable day.

You should try to visit Pendon and some exhibitions in the UK. I went to York, Bristol and the Spring EM Expo this year, try to find the bigger exhibitions during your visit, the quality of layouts is amazing (especially at the EM shows). I was also lucky enough to meet the right people and see some wonderful private layouts. And I had morning tea with Gordon Gravett (sorry about the name dropping - not). Mark in Melbourne

Looks really great. A little too clean and tidy at the moment but noting that a little weathering and added weeds won’t improve.

As you'll be in Kent, see if you can get chance to visit our Kent and East Sussex Railway! Although I'm sure time is precious and you'll get a million comments like this! Enjoy your visit!

Safe Travels Julian. Sound like you'll have a great time. I was talking to my folks about the Railways in Yorkshire. Mum told me that if coal lumps were too large for the engines the Firemen would toss them into a particular pile by each station and the housewives would come along with their wheel barrows and spades and break them up and take the home to heat their homes or cook with. A community gesture maybe. An interesting piece of useless information. 👍 Anyway, the layout is looking great. Interested to see how you weather your Peco phone boxes as I have 2 to do myself. Great quick update sorry to hear you have been ill but sounds like you have recovered as I said in my comment in your last update I am in Yorkshire so if you do have an itinerary for visiting York or Pickering I would love to see you there.

Hi Julian, fantastic video as always. It's amazing to see what you have done with that area and how well it has come together. GETS....I have to ask, what day/s are you planning on attending, I would absolutely love to bump into you but I am going on the Sunday due to parking and transport issues for me on the Saturday. Good to hear you have recovered from your illness. Very glad it wasn’t COVID, as that seems to be rearing it’s ugly head again! Is there enough space between the coal bins and the track to drop the side doors of the coal wagons? If not then you might want to distress the top rail of each bin.
