Learn how to set up Google Ads Conversion Tracking. We have 4 different ways to track Google Ads conversions using your Google Ads account, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Universal Google Analytics (UA). You can track any order confirmation page or lead confirmation page on your website and use that as a conversion.

Video Description:
In this video, I will show you 4 different methods you can use to track your Google Ads conversions. If you have a page where traffic is redirected to after submitting an order or a form on your website, you can track that page as a conversion. Then, you can utilize Google Ads smart bidding strategies to optimize for more conversions. It's the best way to get the most out of your Google Ads budget.
The first method is my recommended option, where you create an event with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4. Then, you can set up that event as a conversion in your Google Analytics 4 account. The event will be a page view on your confirmation page. Lastly, you can import the conversion directly into your Google Ads account after you link your GA4 and Google Ads accounts.
The second method involves just using Google Analytics 4. You can create an event in Google Analytics 4 that tracks every time someone visits a specific page on your website. Then, you can set up that event as a conversion in your GA4 account. Lastly, you can import that conversion into your Google Ads account.
The third method involves using Google Ads and creating a new conversion. Then, you want to create a new Google Ads Conversion tag for your confirmation page in Google Tag Manager using the ID and Label they give you in Google Ads. Next, you need to set up the conversion linker tag through Google Tag Manager. Now Google Ads will track your confirmation page as a conversion.
The fourth method involves using Universal Google Analytics and creating a Goal in your Google Analytics (UA) account. Then, you can import that Goal as a conversion into your Google Ads account. You will need to make sure your Google Ads and Google Analytics accounts are linked as well.

I am struggling with the following case: I have 10+ conversions set as Primary and for some reason, I don't see the data in the column "Conversions", but in "All Conversions". I checked campaign goals, account goals, all seems good. In your opinion what might be the reason?

Hey guys - I created a custom conversion (deleted it by accident) and now I can’t select it in Google Ads Manager - it says I need to choose a filter option that will display it again, but this doesn’t exist. Have you seen this before or know how to get around it?

Excellent video : ) quick question - I set up the tag in gtm, i set up the trigger to fire on a page view when the text url contains "whatever value" - but that tag doesn't fire when I open it in Tag Manager Assistant, it tells me the gtm.linkClick (not equal to) gtm.js. Any ideas : ) ?

I use Sierra Interactive as my website for Real Estate. I'm having trouble tracking conversions as the only confirmation page I have is from the Contact Us form. How would I track conversions for a form that is submitted via pop-up widget? The URL doesnt change before or after entering information.

Quick question- I am seeing conversions being tracked as a decimal. Example: i have conversion tracking set up to track as 1 conversion from a lead capture form submission (page view of a thank you page) and it is tracking as .37 conversions, instead of 1 conversion. What exactly is this tracking and what does it mean? It should just track as one conversion, no? Looking to get it to track that page view as one conversion. Any idea on how I can get this fixed?

My ad account doesn't show the option to set up conversion using the google tag manager. Also, the installation using the code provided shows in the conversion summary as 'unverified'. I have tried troubleshooting and nothing changes. How can I go about setting up conversion in this case?

UA will be stop sending data July 1, 2023. If you are still using UA, make the switch to Google Analytics 4"

I suggest you create your own landing page for running the clients ads. You control the set up and content.

In tag manger, you should have more options than only All pages. By clicking on a plus sign, you can add a new trigger. Choose elements and it will allow you to track clicks on buttons, for e ample. Select your Submit button and GTM will attribute a conversion event to it. A good workaround when there's no thank you page

yes and you need to remove the google analytics code from your website. otherwise the report will duplicate every conversions

First thank you for tutorial , but let me say something , if u do tutorial video so make it from start and show how u was made it all , because there is many things u showing in video the setting u was made before or created something before, that is confusing little bit , we are came to learn (and again thank you for showing us your knowledge) but we staring from clean and nothing what is done before, we as viewers want go step by step with you and make it , and when I sit and trying understand and follow your recommendations I am stuck because I are made "some" setting or created something before the video, and that is frosting . take your time its ok if video will long for more 3/4 minutes but in least that will be more informative . thanks again
