Sorry I have another issue. I watched the video on how to transfer website hosts. I wasn't really clear on what the wording content or duplicate content meant. I am moving my hosting company but I am rebuilding the site prior to moving. I have the same pages but with different similar content. Images or verbage may be different but the content in general is the same. The actual transfer is easy enough but it seems that it will be hard to show google the changes in a widespread way. Not just DNS or address. I dont want to lose my google page rank !

Great video. I have enjoyed many of your videos I do have an question. For a company that has over ten domain names relative to the site of operation. What does google webmaster tools reccomend to do with the remaining domains ?? That in my case would be over ten 301 redirects and I am scared google wont like that and penalize me. I currently just 301 three of the other domains and the others are under construction or parked. Thanx TH

2 mins in and frustration kicks in! Who is this aimed at exactly? SEO people, people who want to become and SEO or a CEO of a company that wants to understand why they are paying for SEO? It really is drawn out from the off. Cut to the chase. Google has a bunch of resources available over at webmaster tools head over there and bury yourself in it for 2 days and become an SEO expert. Sound negative? Search SEO is as Dead as a Parrot on Amazon and read the scathing review left by Live SEO! Maile has created some awesome training videos and is a true expert in the field of SEO for Google so this video surprises me as it seems to be selling how to become an SEO

SEO: it's not rocket science just tedious and more tasks than are able to be itemized on a list monthly. Some tasks are simply just monitoring the webmaster central page and making sure you are not making any blatant errors. I love how she separated the tasks and made SEO only about ranking and display while UX designers and marketers handle the other sides of internet marketing. 4:45

Build the web page yourself and don't rely on 3rd party sites or tools to build the website for you.

It all depends what you want to do. I wouldn't use WordPress, but it's personal choice as I think it's bloated etc. However, it's loved by designers because you can build a site without tinkering with everything underneath it that makes it work. This isn't actually the best way to learn, as you are just learning how to use a tool to achieve a goal. You aren't learning about the process and how it works, and you really need to. The best thing you could do is build static sites first, learn how HTML works across browsers, how CSS can make it more fancy etc. Then learn PHP and MySQL, how to build simple dynamic database driven websites. It will give you a valuable grounding in security, something which most WordPress "users" don't understand. There are no quick fixes, you need to learn the nuts and bolts of web technologies. Once you know the basics, everything else is so much easier to achieve and your horizon is broadened so much more.

video summary: its how you market/improve/ your site to your readers/visitors/customers rather than investing on a company that banners that they know everything about SEO. You make your own strategy,plan it , have an objective,map out a plan of action,implement it.
