VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Matthew is living full-time in his DIY 1987 Bluebird bus conversion. This beast is carried with a 6.9 Navistar engine and has 600 amp hours of lithium batteries. Installed under the bus is a 100lb propane tank and 45 gallons of freshwater. There's a compost toilet in the bathroom with a 32x32" shower made of tin roofing. The bedroom is sized for all he needs, with a full bed, adjustable desk, and a pull-out TV for movie nights.
The kitchen is the master space of his tiny home on wheels. Being a full-time cook, Matthew thrives behind the knife and wants his cooking space to be as enjoyable as his passion. There's a full-size fridge, a four-burner stove, and a deep sink suitable for the abundance of dishes that accumulate with recipes. His countertops and floating shelf are live edge with a backsplash to match. Matthew works endless hours as a cook as he prepares to open a restaurant. Having his skoolie to come home to is the perfect sanctuary for rest and rejuvenation.

This is the first bus conversion that I have seen that wasn’t cramped. This guy did an amazing job with how he allocated appropriate space to the different areas of the bus.

Never thought I would wish I could live in a bus! This is far more room than my studio apartment and so beautifully done. That kitchen is beyond gorgeous. Just another lesson for me how hard work. sacrifice, planning, great patience, a desire to do things with excellence, and some help along the way can bring great reward.

I must say I am impressed,I have been addicted to watching tiny house and school bus conversions ,and this is the first bus conversion that I can honestly say is really beautiful and really livable. I usually end up shaking my head and thinking ,how can a person live like that? Showering outside,and sometimes a pull out toilet in the kitchen area,No! But you did a super job, Kudos to you, your bus is beautifully done and ascetically pleasing.

I've watched a ton of tiny home tours and I'd have to say that this is the most gorgeous tiny home bus I've seen! I love the black and white color scheme mixed with the wood tones throughout the bus, the way you have it decorated, and your kitchen is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! This space is unreal. Love the wood, gray and white pallet. Skoolies are very good foundations for those who need to customize that extra amount of space to fit their lifestyle and passions. Be it as a chef, photographer, writer, painter, etc. Very well done thanks for taking the time and inviting us into this incredible skoolie.

Yeah one of those coach buses fully converted can run into $200k and up. This was probably half of that if not much less.

@@stopthephilosophicalzombie9017 exactly true. Our budget is at 60k for our build project. I have to do a short update with the new concept. Very similar but more Overlander feel. The same rv size would be over 200k. 23ft long X 10-12ft tall X 8ft wide

I love you and your dad's ideas on your bus. You could make a small restaurant with a couple tables. You could drive and park the bus anywhere. Plus make a test for drive and dinner. Or lunch picnics. I would have a counter 🌿 HERB GARDEN 🌿. You have a nice and cozy bus home. THANK YOU FOR THE TOUR. I KEEP MY TEA KETTLE IN MY OVEN SOMETIMES. IT FITS PERFECT. GOD BLESS YOU. I think I'm in love 🥰! This bus is amazing! Can we take a moment to appreciate the plants though?!!!! I'm a total plant mom and can't even imagine parting with my plants. So it's pretty cool that he incorporated plants into his design! I also love the size if the kitchen! And that live edge counter top and back splash! I just love this!!!

The countertops and backsplash are gorgeous. And feeling about plants the way you feel about knives, I freaking love all the plants you have, especially the ones in the cockpit. The whole bus is lovely and I’m very happy for you.

I’m in love with this conversion. It’s a superb eclectic mix of old, new, rustic and minimalistic!! The resin coated wooden work tops is a brilliant idea as it eliminates the need to sand and oil every six months. Also the shine from the surface reflects the light creating a brighter space.x

Being a fitness fanatic, there's never enough of running shoes & Lululemon lol so I get it. Being a chef, you tend to overwork & are underpaid. You're very inspirational for being laser focused and achieved this masterpiece. Your place is cozy and has so much character. Congrats on your achievement. This is such a beautifully designed and decorated home. I think Kitchens and Bathrooms are so important in a space that you call home. Living tiny doesn’t have mean having to do without, and you have absolutely nailed it. And to have such a beautiful home and the pride of doing it yourself along with your Dad is even better. Great memories and absolutely stunning home.

This is most definitely 1 of the best tiny homes I've seen! I fell in love when I saw those countertops. Not only are they a great idea, but they make the whole place look so homey. If that bus was mine, I'd live in it forever.

This is the most beautiful bus build I have ever seen. Everything is perfect, I love the color scheme, it’s so sophisticated , the counter top with the live edge and then using the leftover pieces of wood on the backsplash and the shine on it and the table top is to die for, the bathroom is gorgeous. Like I said I love everything. Well done Chef and Dad and neighbor. Have many years of adventures cause you earned them.

This has got to be the best skoolie I have ever seen. I would HAVE to have a kitchen like this! Bathroom is very doable as well. I can't believe how well y'all built this out, using every little bit of space and still looks spacious, if that makes sense. My daughter lives in Tallahassee! I'm going to have to check out the bus!
