The tiger will try to get in, but the gorilla will pop it here and then pop it there; but because of the tiger's agility and reflexes, the gorilla will struggle to land its right hand. Eventually, the tiger will catch the gorilla with a left hook. Due to the weight advantage and....the claws....it will hurt the gorilla. After that, the tiger will sense the weakness and add extra pressure on the gorilla backing it up against the ropes. It will only be a matter of time before it catches the gorilla again. The Silver Back prefers a peaceful existence, but make no mistake, an animal endowed with the brute strength of a Silver Back knows how to deploy that power when in fight or flight mode. I think it all depend on the intelligence of the gorilla. If the gorilla is smart enough to understand that snapping the tigers neck or breaking its jaws is the way to kill the tiger. Otherswise the tiger will inflict massive damage with its claws and teeth. No doubt the gorilla will suffer massive blood loss and die.

Honestly, I don't think it is as clear cut of a win as a lot of people think that it might be. Yes, leopards have in rare occasions succeeded at killing a gorilla. Lets get one thing straight though. Killing "a" gorilla, and killing a nearly 600lb full grown silverback are two VERY different things. A majority of the reports of leopards killing gorillas are of kills to females and juveniles. A typical adult female gorilla weighs around 150-200lbs. Silverbacks can be 3-4 times that weight, and upwards of 10 times stronger than a full grown female. If a tiger wants to get a finish on a large silverback, then it has to latch onto it, and with the length of a gorillas arms, and the absolutely astonishing power that they possess, it might be very possible that the gorilla grabs ahold of the tiger whilst the tiger is latched onto the gorilla's neck and inflict very serious injuries to the tiger. I mean an animal as aggressive and powerful as a silverback is certainly not going to lay there peacefully like a deer when a tiger latches onto it, I can assure you that. It is going to be absolutely freaking out and grabbing at the tiger's skin and limbs and flailing all over the place. I don't know if anyone realizes how strong a gorillas grip strength is, but gorillas produce enough crushing force with their hands alone to smash a crocodile's skull. I would have to imagine that if that hand grabs ahold of that tiger's neck or arm or skin and starts crushing, the tiger might start having second thoughts about the entire thing. What if the gorilla just brute force ripped the tiger off and slams the tiger, an already 500lb animal, to the ground literally as hard as it possibly can before the tiger is able to fully sink it's teeth into the gorillas thick hide? Tell me that a slam like that couldn't completely shatter a tiger's whole ribcage. Not to mention the potential barrage of pounding and slapping and trampling that could very well happen after the tiger is thrown to the ground. Not saying a gorilla would win, but to think that a tiger is going to have an easy time with a gorilla is just silly. It could very well end up dying or sustaining critical injuries.

Also if the tiger gets his jaws around the gorilla’s neck then it is fight over.
