Here is the Recipe of traditional "Gorkha Chutney", one of the most popular in Nepali and Gorkha Cuisine
Ingredients
-White Pea Beans soaked (Matar)
-Potatoes
-Onions
-Green Chillies
-Ginger
-Black Sesame seeds(Til)
-Tamarind or Lemon
and Mustard Oil

I'm fm shillong.. V always mk dis in every occasion.. But v add lemons or lime juice instead... Till ko achar.. Always a hit..

Reminds me of my childhood when I used to eat this Nepali chutney with selroti with my Nepali friends. My maid or Kanchi used to also make for me as it is my favorite... I really miss it. Will definitely try it...my mouth's watering 😋😋

I remember when I first visit her house in sikkim she served me this chutney & I must this is the best chutney I've ever try she also told me about round bread which you call sel roti I guess that was also so delicious & today I feel very lucky to have her in me life.. Lots of love from Jammu ❤

I am from Shillong too. My best friends were Nepali and we would swap our lunches. I would feed them bengali food and relished the nepali food they would share with me. Sel roti and chatni my all time favorite 😻
