The very beginning of this video is genius setup for the duel. Jack has just stolen the chest and like always uses his wits to escape Jones. As he walks across the mast he has a big smirk on his face because he knows he holds the thing that will not only save him but also will give the pirates victory over the battle. But his smirk quickly turns into a look of fear as he notices jones teleported onto the mast as well. He walks towards jack withdrawals his sword "the chest, hand it over!" Jack knows he cannot think his way out of this one so withdrawals his sword as well to get ready to duel "I can set you free mate!" Jones then delivers a line with so much depth "my freedom was forfeited long ago!" He screams and the two begin an epic fencing match. Not to mention while 2 awesome ships are firing canons at each other over a raging storm with epic music! Damn I love this movie!

For a guy with a crab leg, Jones has pretty good balance.

This movie was literally my favorite one.... mainly because of this scene, but also because those dopey friends.... you know the guy with the fake eyeball were fucking stupid the whole movie. I don't think people get just How much of swordsman Jack is: able to go toe-to-toe with the likes of infamous Davy Jones and Barbossa and probably other Pirate Lords.. He'd just rather not fight until he has to. Same reason why he even said "Ta" to Will in the first movie, he knew Will was good too and they'd be there all day sword swinging.

Okay everyone is talking about Jack's swordplay, but no-one has mentioned his marksmanship, he used a flintlock that is probably smoothbore while swinging on a rope during a maelstrom with two legendary ships firing cannons at each other, and hit his target that was Davy Jones's hand that was holding a chest.
