There was supposed to be a scene with Daemond hugging and consoling both daughters about their mother’s death, but for reasons unknown it was left on the cutting room floor. Only proof of its existence thus far are photographs taken during filming

Harwin and Lyonel Strong deserved better; they were good men...In the book on which House of the Dragon is based, Daemon was definitely in love with Laena; and she did not burn alive in Vhagar's fire (she died at Driftmark, trying to reach Vhagar for a last flight, not to be burned alive). Some 15 years later, Laena's daughter Baela bore her first child, a daughter, and insisted on naming her Laena, after Baela's mother (in the book, Baela and Rhaena were only three years old when their mother Laena died). I enjoyed your video.

“In defense of…” The Crown Princess’s Firstborn son. The future King. Beyond that, Harwin has an obvious friendship with the family. Both Rhaenrya and Laenor. Otherwise he wouldn’t be in the yard. This whole scene seems to forget that Aegon is below Joffrey in the line of succession. Aka he is nothing. He is a prince by luck of birth, he is the spare’s spare spare (all three of Rhaenyra’s boys are above him), nothing more.

11:30 "You will have to close an eye". Throughout the serie, the girl shown a pattern of predicting the future (prophecy). This is the first time she mentions something that would happen later, the same way she predicted the "monster beneath the ground" later in the series. So, everything she says should be taken seriously as it is probably an easteregg og a prediction for later.

Alicent was not wrong in what she said though. Her sons are a challenge simply by living and breathing and would have a better claim than Rhaenyra simply due to their gender. At some point someone would've risen up to challenge Rhaenyra regardless of what her brothers felt on the matter and in order to safeguard her reign and stabilise the realm she'd have to execute them or it would keep happening for as long as her rule lasts. Especially with the rumours hanging about her and the fact her eldest three are obviously illegitimate. Viserys was foolish and should've disinherited her and protected both the realm and his house from certain doom in the process. But than again, there would be no story if he had, so...

what viserys should’ve done is found someone else to marry besides alicent, or not marry at all. permanently let go of otto and find another hand. AND allow daemon to marry rhaenyra. rhaenyra KNEW why the realm needed to be united, she attended MOST of the council meetings her father had, provided GREAT advice and would’ve been a GOOD queen. y’all will make the craziest excuses to shit on rhaenyra and find reasons as to why a woman shouldn’t rule.

@@mmemori Excuses? You mean facts. Rhaenyra was a harlot plain and simple, with a terrible reputation. Viserys was wilfully blind to his daughter frollicking about and siring basards and coddled her beyond reason. He was a humongous fool and Rhaenyra a disaster waiting to happen. Something he could and should have prevented. Gender has little to do with it. Had Rhaenys been his daughter instead of Rhaenyra there would've been little to no issue as Rhaenys was dutiful, competent, diplomatic and rational in her decisionmaking. Ohhh and her children were visibly her husbands...

@@SimplymeSVEN18 if he had allowed her and daemon to be married she wouldn’t have had bastards in the first place. he forced her to marry laenor and they TRIED to conceive but laenor did not do his part. she has to provide heirs so she found another way to do that. also, thanks for proving my point. AND rhaenyras. other kings can father bastards and no one questions it, no one blinks an eye, no one will use that as an excuse as to why they shouldn’t sit on the throne. rhaenyra DID perform all her duties as best as she could with her step mother tormenting her and her children meanwhile. but that’s never enough for you twats.
