Going to give you some experienced advice from a CDL driver that has been at it since 1984. Yes, ling before you were born I was driving. At any Safety meeting, say nothing and just listen. Management doesn't want to hear from drivers especially when they want to speak out in a group. They will end up targeting you. Also, you work for Prime - which the industry sees as a training institute for new drivers. Sure, younmight think 2 or 6 years of experience hauling dry or reefer freight is a lot of experience, but I can tell you it isn't. There is always new things to learn. Also, Prime will use things like safety and fuel bonuses for you to aim for to increase your gross income, but they do that to cut expenses and try to reduce accidents. It's a carrot at the end of a stick and they keep moving the stick. Get your experience, keep your eye out for better opportunities and by all means plan to make your portfolio of experience to be diverse as possible. On your off time, add Tanker Endorsement (just a written test). If you can, pay for the background check and do the Hazmat test and get the H endorsement (expires every 5 years). It then becomes an added bonus if you find another job. For myself I have all but school bus endorsement on my CDL. Millions of miles driving a truck. Absolutely clean MVR and nothing on my Drug Clearinghouse query. Pulled just about everything but sticks (logging trailer). It typically doesn't get me more pay when getting a job at a carrier, but my application often lands on top of all others. And lastly, when/if you decide to leave, give your carrier a written 2 week notice via email and save the email. That way they will have a hard time saying you quit without notice or abandon a load and put it in your DAC report. ALWAYS have a paper trail when communicating with your employer.

Thank you for showing the Prime.facility it's huge, as far as your potatoes r It would have been plain for me or ketchup not a fan mayo,but as I always say each to his own, this weekend I was travelling and since watching your channel I have a different view if trucks on the road,the only thing that I am always concerned is if in traffic and a huge truck is behind is the trucker going to be able to stop in time,especially when you hear the brakes ,that's just me, as usual thanks for sharing your travels

Congrats on the new jacket. When I drove for prime, I went inside of that building at the terminal once and thats when I was in training. I'll never forget it was biting cold out there that day in December. All those places you went inside I never seen or went except the store and the cafe area. Did you get the camera installed in your truck while you were there?
