For about $150 total...you can own your own DIY "steam room"
VivoSun Mylar grow steam tent (Amazon link, Prime)
www.amazon.com/dp/B07GNBCVPZ/...
ZoneMel 2L portable sauna steamer (Amazon link, Prime)
www.amazon.com/dp/B07PYZ9CFX/...
If you're sick...go see a medical doctor. Don't use a sauna/steam if you have medical issues...check with your doctor. This video is NOT a cure for the flu or any illness (for entertainment only, a product review, and a "FWIW video" for what I do/did to relieve my flu symptoms). Also, those LED grow lights emit a lot of UV light...make sure to wear eye protection.

The trick is heat, but there is no need to be miserable. I use a heating pad or blanket under covers in bed, as hot as I can stand it, but keep an ice pack wrapped in terrycloth on my forehead/head. Fever/heat is how your body kills a virus, so my way speeds that up by running a way too hot fever, while keeping my brain cool and comfortable. And it's very relaxing to boot. Also I keep colloidal silver on hand because silver kills all bacteria on contact (hence the "Born with a silver spoon" saying). I use it with a steamers/inhaler because it knocks out the resulting pneumonia that is what actually kills people with the Flu. I only use it though, if I suspect pneumonia. But it's fine as a preventative measure. You'd have to swallow gallons of the stuff to turn blue, so I don't think it's even possible to ingest enough via inhaling. But yea, heat is the answer, just no reason to be miserable.

Hear ya...so true. I haven't been sick in years...and this year, I didn't get the Flu shot. So, not 100% sure the Flu shot would have helped, but it really s ucks getting sick. Last weekend (during the worst part of this Flu) I was in really bad shape. Heat/sweat are really helpful...along with many other things to help the body fight the virus. Thanks for commenting...great info

It helped me. I had to get rid of this "contraption". I am going to get a larger one...the steamer is quite strong enough for enough snot relieving steam.

Do you find it hard to breathe inside? Any thoughts how one of those Steam Generator Kits would compare to the ZONEMEL? For example some brands (Mr. Steam, EliteSteam, SteamSpa etc) say 220V 9kW.. so is that steam hotter than portable sauna, or is just the amount of steam that can be generated and/or convenience of using it a shower (like the Mesa Steam Showers)?

Jan 13, 2021 - My original steam boiler for this tent finally died. I bought a new 4L unit on Amazon and tried it out last night. Inside tent temp got up to 106F (80% humidity)...for a "feels like" heat index of 190F. I sweated pretty dern good in there! It takes a good 20-25 mins to get full heat/steam inside the tent. Here is what I bought: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0823Q9CBJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

did u manage to find a more powerful steamer, I was gong to maybe order 2? I have tent like yours now
@ChrisDIYerOklahoma
@ChrisDIYerOklahoma 3 жыл бұрын
Naw, sure didn't. The problem with running two...likely, will trip a circuit breaker if you plug them into the same outlet. These steamers run about 1,700 watts. Two steamers would be awesome...just need to plug them into two separated circuits

@@ChrisDIYerOklahomaguess I'll have run an extension cord on my balcony if I get 2. I am going to order today, but did you get a good sweat (take a long time)from one or wish you had another? reason I ask is wonder if 2 is a waste of money if I don't need it.

Well these fumigating machine doesn't work like a real Hammam I have the same set up but there is not enough of vapor to create the effect it's only warm the tent and add some humidity but it's not enough so I use a 2 steam cleaners handheld to create the pressurized vapor so when one is empty the other one is ready and you add some eucalyptus into the plastic pot and you shoot the vapor in the pot

Yeh, these tents aren't very efficient to get hot. In fact, my original steam pot is failing now too (cheap Chinese unit). Only 1/2 of the bottom burner plate is getting hot. It boils water, but not like when it was new.

I would like to find a stronger steamer too. This one uses a lot of power (like 1,700 watts). So, it might be hard to find a stronger one that will work on a 120v standard outlet w/o going 240v.
