One of these 4-liter (gallon) steamers will work pretty good with this sized tent. However, when it gets below 50F or so...it takes a long time (30+ minutes) to get a lot of good steamy relaxing heat inside the tent. So, I added a second steam pot to push more steam in and to heat up quicker. These steamers consume about 1,600 watts each...so, you can't plug both into the same outlet (using two different electrical circuits). I tested using both steamers inside this tent. They were both set on level 16 (highest temp). The tent heated up fast (like 10 mins). Inside temps got up to 125F at 85% humidity (362F feel-like heat index using an online heat index calculator). It was unbearably hot. Will have to make some adjustments.

Thanks. Tried out the tent tonight with both steamers on the highest settings. It was unbearable...waaaaay too much steam. I could only take 15 mins, a break, and then 8 mins. Crazy hot...like, deadly too hot.

What would need to be improved with the sauna steamer? I think a longer wire, hotter steam, It does produce steam but not hot steam for me

Pretty cool, I just made my own similar to yours but I’m using 3 deep fryer pots. Sometimes I can get to 95 degrees if it’s 55 degrees outside so I’m excited to see what it gets up to once it warms up. How are those steamers working for you I hear mixed reviews on them, what’s your top temp you’ve got?

You can do this in your house in a spare room. But you must wipe it down after and leave a small space heater in it over night then you are good to go

Beautiful truck and bike! U play guitar ? Single lol? Anyway I’ve got a tent sauna & this is the 2nd steamer I’ve ordered on amazon in less than a year !! While heating up in under 10 minutes it started spewing water just like the one that came with it!!! It scared me ! I took lid off and unscrewed vent and looked and there’s no obstruction on either end so perhaps it’s not pushing the Ayer through yet the first time the water had soaked the floor mat so it was going through! I let it cool then redid it at one knotch lower as it gets too hint on 9 the highest even though directions say to heat on highest level. It’s clear tubing so 2nd time tubing want hot nor water Going through at all!!! I guess I’ll have to buy a entire new sauna different brand this time ...very disappointed in how hazardous this sauna has been or the heater . What brand did u get ? I can’t even get the clear tubing loose on end connected to sauna ....very strange the heater gets super hot was was melting the glue or substance that is around the nozzles that hold the lid parts together !!! I just unplugged it ...what should I do ? It was over $100 and too late to get a refund in Amazon ....🥴

I rigged something similar but i had a question. Do you do anything to help dry it out? I was hoping just leaving it unzipped it would evaporate and I would clean with cleaner once a week but there is still standing water on the floor 12 plus hours after I do a steam

Soak it up then hang out towels then wash them once a week ...I made a concoction in a spray bottle of half vinegar half water with drops of lavender as it’s great mold mildew prevention and makes it smell nice and clean and wipe it down with it after every use 🥰🤗

I wish you could’ve told us how long the 4 L lasts if you’re in there for an hour and a half say when they run out before that? Also what if you don’t have a lot of circuit options? For example if I’m running a heater and a sauna pot in the same small apartment is there a pretty good chance that will overwhelm?

Question. On my device the tubing runs into a white box where the heat gets dispersed. I accidentally knocked the cover off and the heat built up so much more. I notice you just have your tubes running directly in facing upward. Do you find any issues with Backflow because this box on the inside does seem to build up with water.

Hey Chris - what kind of tubing did you get? I am having trouble finding high temperature tubing for the steamers - not sure what would be the rating I need. Most have been 125F or 175F max. Thanks!
@ChrisDIYerOklahoma
@ChrisDIYerOklahoma 5 ай бұрын
I just snipped a piece off the stock boiler tubing and matched it up at Lowe's. However, the tubing from Lowe's is thinner and kinks easily with heat. Dunno if they sell correct/thicker replacement hoses on Amazon or eBay.

wait...... why didnt you finish the video lol!? So when you buy these, the tubes dump into a little plastic container with holes the steam pours out of. Youre dumping the steam directly from the tubes. I wonder the difference. So you got it to 112 degrees and that was unbearble? commercial steam rooms are 140 degrees. I bought one of these and the single just isnt cutting it. Im debating adding the second unit or just returning it
@ChrisDIYerOklahoma
@ChrisDIYerOklahoma 6 ай бұрын
Incorrect. Google it. Steam rooms are usually less than 120F with high humidity. Adding the second steam pot usually gets above 120F in this tent and works much better
@Deathsencore

@@ChrisDIYerOklahoma in one comment you said two steamers get "112F with 85% humidity -- works out to craZyHigh heat index. Plenty hot." and now this you say above 120F. I think another video with a temp readout would help everyone out. Thanks mate :)

What was the temp for two units? Currently have a portable one but it doesn't get hot enough. I would need some sort of steamer capable of working inside the tent to generate more steam. Wonder if rigging the steamer with a splitter connection would increase the temp. Rather not invest in another steam generator if 1 with a split line works.
