A daily dose of magnesium can prevent gout attacks because magnesium lowers uric acid levels. Since I have taken 500 mg of magnesium daily my gout attacks have completely disappeared; I wish my doctor would have told me this, he could have saved me years of pain and sleepless nights.

I searched for gout and this video has really helped me understand what she's facing and the exact symptoms described in this video matched her situation. Thank-you for making such wonderful video. It's not only helping medical students, but also to normal people who are completely unknown about these problems and these animated short videos help us understand at best!

(Low GI), Crab too but from king crab. Tumeric helps too. Flour tortillas a little. Eggs Skim milk..,Some vegetables but not all. Avocado, Cilantro, Celery, Carrots, Zucchini, Eggplant, Taro, Nopal, A little pinto beans and a certain type of lentils. Potatoes (Not fried) If you like them fried, use an "air Frier" Good luck and Blessings!

If anyone needs advice on getting rid of out, I would advise you to look at your diet such as this video lays out, but to also look into fixing your gut bacteria in addition to losing any excess weight. I lost weight, started eating a consistent diet that wasn't nearly as strict as these videos suggest you need to be, and started taking daily probiotics. I haven't had a flare up since. Your intestinal microbiota help with metabolozing of purine and uric acid. I don't know the person reading this, but if you have gout and aren't just eating ridiculous amounts of trigger foods - you probably have a problem with your gut bacteria, like I did. If your gut isn't helping, it puts the burden on your liver.

It so encouraging to see positive responses like yours stating that one does not have to permanently suffer from this painful disease. I was diagnosed with gout just a few months ago . Though I had only one acute attack and immediately went on medication, there are mild attacks every week . I have hence done a complete U turn on my diet . I have completely BANNED alcohol, meat , sugary drinks , processed food , bakery products , packaged chips and have gone on a strictly vegetarian diet and drink plenty of water . I want to absolutely reverse this condition and never want to have another gout attack , ever again because it hurts like hell .

I looked and looked for a remedy for my gout. I had extreme, severe pain. I tried some expensive supplements, but I didn't see any results. Finally, I saw on someone's comment under a gout video, take baking soda. I followed his advice, one and a half teaspoons of baking soda, once in the morning and before bed. I mixed it with at least 16 oz of tart cherry juice (a natural anti-inflammatory). I also soaked my foot in hot water for 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening. I could tell a difference fairly quickly. The pain and sensitivity went down each day. After three or four days, I could walk normally and with no pain. Thanks for that comment.

I am in my 30's and getting the gout more often now and I know it is due to my diet. It sucks because I live in Wisconsin and beer, burgers, cheese, brats, fried fish, pizza - all staples of a good time out with friends and everyone around here loves these foods - including me. It's easy to cut these foods out of my diet when the gout flares up, but slowly over time I find myself eating like crap again and I only realize it once it is too late. Update. Akaline your diet. 5-7 days detox then slowly introduce other foods. Start day with hot water and lemon. Lemons are acid but when metabolised they become alkaline. Stop eating all meat for a week. Bio probiotics are good. Drink purified water with electrolytes. No tap water unless filtered over night. Cherries and all that did nothing for me.also, no coffee and make sure you get 8 hours sleep.

I have this gout 2x attack with a week interval, the meds helps but I found a way to treat it normally in the 3rd time attack, a hot towel cloth (soaked in hot boiled water) and placed it on the painful part, as long as u can bear the heat, repeat it for as long u can even a half a day time, it will help..no more meds until then since first quarter of 2020 at the hype of covid pandemic. cheers.

I’ve dealt with gout for about 6 years now, it’s one of the worst pains I’ve ever experienced. I developed gout from heavy drinking in college. For me I dont get it in my toes, it’s always my ankles. I’m 29, active but 260lbs, but I get gout attacks pretty often (maybe once every couple of months). I take 300mg allopurinol, but not sure if it actually does a good job managing gout. Just wanted to hear what other people have done to overcome this horrible condition. I will say, some home remedies I’ve found to be amazing are black cherry juice and a ton of celery for anyone who is experiencing gout. And for meals just do brown rice and eggs until it clears up.

I used to get gout attacks at least 4 times a year and it took a week to get better. A few years ago I started taking a magnesium supplement, once in the morning and once in the evening. I have been gout free since and I eat anything I want. Magnesium lowers uric acid levels in the body and can help prevent kidney stones and gout.

@@lennyanders1639 do you also take any allopurinol or daily prescribed medicine with the magnesium? I have a magnesium citrate supplement that I just started taking, however I’ve only being taking it once a day and also taking allopurinol. I may just try to do magnesium twice a say and be done with allopurinol.

@@tomster0202 No, I just take the magnesium. It can take a week or so for the magnesium to kick in. I take the triple magnesium complex from the Swanson company, I get it from eBay.
