Did 7 years in GP, I gained discipline and got my head right In prison, got out and moved instantly. I knew I would fuck myself staying back in the hood. Left, found a great wife, worked hard and turned that drive into 2 successful businesses. I understand the power of repetition and I gained new insight into how I viewed other people, society as a whole, and my place in it. I took control of my life for once and got paid by improving my value in the marketplace, not by well, less just say less than reputable means. Great channel, keep it real.

@matthewhorizon6050
@matthewhorizon6050 4 жыл бұрын
@@MrBlack252 Why would you even compare the two. They have nothing in common. And to be Clair, wes never states anything philosophical that he didnt hear from someone else. Bruce Lee was a martial artist, followed Buddhist philosophies (but wasnt Buddhist), and movie star, while Wes is a guy who went to prison. So wtf are talking about? And Jeet Kune Do was a philosophy of fighting created by Bruce Lee. Its essentially what MMA is today. Bruse was a visionary in that sense. Sure, the practitioners of today in his weight class would thrash him, but he was more of a teacher and movie star. Sure, he could fight, but folks are unrealistic about his capacity to compete w a world class level MMA practitioner. As for Wes, he committed a crime, went to prison, then became a KZfaqr. Granted, hes entertaining, but Bruce Lee is so much more fascinating for a variety of reasons. Wes speaks well enough and was smarrtty enough to find his niche and capitalize on the opportunity. Hes not going to influence the world in some major way.

Metal tablespoons. Later to be used and filed down. For other purposes, the matron or guard would be distracted and account would be offset. Once you went in the black line you never return to a white side of the room. Afterwards it became mandatory to sit where you stood in line. You made sure to stand with the right count. If possible. Never easy

Ive been following Wes for a few weeks now listening to his podcast and I thought the same thing: wondering to myself this would be great stuff to show to inmates now, and especially kids that are on a bad path and getting into trouble. So awesome you had that idea & able to make a direct impact.

I know that you had a rough patch in your life. We all do or did. But, when you touched about what is in your heart; that says that you are a man of integrity. I wish that there were more people like you at my unit. We have soldiers that know nothing of integrity. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and experiences with us.

One day as Wes was getting in his morning gym routine of tearing down trees in the forrest, he was approached by a snarling Grizzly bear. Wes kept his cool and returned a glare back to the animal. The bear quickly realized who he was dealing with and immediately began to devour himself knowing it would be a less painful way to go.

Wes, I have watched handfuls of your videos by now, and this one finally hit me. Repetition. Your point on mastering your day and then repeating, over and over, hit me bro, that shits REAL! I have never been locked up or arrested, and in point of fact, I work on the other side of the fence. I'm a psychiatric Technician, and I work in a state hospital for psych patients. I have also coached high school football, and I have worked with at risk youth, and also ran a Boys and Girls club at one time. I have heard a lot of people talk about leadership, and personal growth, but most don't light onto the fact that everyday when you wake, the battle for perfection, starts right then at that moment. I feel like what your saying, in regards to perfecting your day first, and then repeating. Bro, that's wisdom, and not only is it wisdom, it's a path to betterment. Thank you.... I actually feel inspired again in the face of all this bullshit that has been our world as of late. Much respect....

I’m new to your videos but I’ve learned a lot 1st thing DONT GO TO PRISON! But seriously I think as much as I can I understand why it’s so hard for some people to deal with getting out. With the structure of getting the day done right every day then to come out and not have that structure or purpose, people start slippin, losing focus. Good on you for sharing your truth!
