Hardcore Nvidia fanboys will believe the opposite anyways, no matter what you tell them. They will defend their trillion dollar company religiously. And for the record, i am neutral on both sides, i don't like the current heavily stagnated GPU market and their scummy marketing practices from both sides.

To be fair, gamers aren't the only people who buy GPUs.

Bruh 3 out of my 4 AMD card broke whereas all my nvidia gpu haven't broke Old AMD card have sooo many driver issues whereas Nvidia doesn't,I want to love Amd but I'm having a curse with them

i was leaning towards 3060 but after seeing the price and performance difference between 6700 and 3060 I'll go with 6700 and not to forget amd giving starfield for free with selected cpu and gpu

The "problem" with amd drivers is that nvidia is so popular that companies optimize their games for nvidia better than amd just for the fact of market share.

I had issues with drivers just recently. A new driver launch for nVidia that optimised new 40 series features in some games, caused my 970 to crash. After rolling back I had no more issues

I've had really bad AMD drivers about 3 years ago but nowadays they're absolutely good and I'm so glad I stuck with them

Fair enough. I'm older, so I dealt extensively in the late 90s and early 2ks with Radeon GPUs. I hated them because of those drivers and switched to Nvidia around the 6600 GT era. I guess I haven't given AMD consideration in a very long time, but from my perspective....I've been burned too many times to even consider it.

I've only used AMD dedicated gpu's in the past. Yesterday I got my first nvidea, and the PC wouldn't even recognize the card before I installed the drivers. I guess the drivers for the Radeon were always installed with the Ryzen software somehow, because everytime I formatted the system, it would always recognize the Radeon. These days the only reason I see to buy nvidea is if you want to run some language models locally. Otherwise, AMD has much better value for money 💰

Any disappointment treating any brand as holier than anything else is no expert in anything.

I’ve had issues with Vega 64 drivers, but minimal to no issues with nvidia and older radeon cards

For the first time in 12 years of using Nvidia GPUs, I have had driver issues like crazy recently.

I was gonna say man. I was getting constant blue screens in tarkov with my 7800xt. Through Adrenalin, One driver update and a few settings tweaked through the click of a button, no extra software or BIOS meddling, no more bluescreens.

For me at least i need Nvidia's drivers for quite a few AI programs and some minecraft mods and official and unofficial shaders. So at least if you ask me its perfectly reasonable to want to buy an nvidea still for there drivers (even for gaming)

Cant be more true. Had no internet for 4 days and my 1080ti was black-screening when launching a new games because of drivers being slightly outdated. Had to wait until today to update it and its fine again, weirdest NVIDIA driver problem ive ever seen ( being ive owned many geforce cards and have nothing against AMD, they make amazing cards just no money to upgrade or will to yet lol ) EDIT: just wanted to make things clear. The GPU/CPU market is just bad rn and neither am a NVIDIA or AMD or Intel fanboy because all companies don't care about the consumer at the end of the day. Only reason my 8700k is still alive is because I put LM on it so it stays in the 60c to 70c range and doesn't hit even 80c ever anymore and had to reapplied last year. (6 year old cpu still going strong playing any game, under-volted and clocked higher for years now) Alot of these computer company have done bad things in the past or continue to do bad things either people don't know about or are too busy to realize because they have more important things to worry about. I bet fanboys would argue with this statement though

I've been using the XFX 7900xt for about a month now, and have been seeing consistent driver crashes in multiple games in 1440p high to ultra settings. So the driver issues are definitely there, idk if it's not as common or something. I usually can't go more than about 2 hours without a crash in battlefield 2042, dying light 2, Starfield, call of duty, BG3. It's usually a toss up whether I'll have problems or not.

Currently having a few doubts myself, but mainly from personal experience. Bought a new 6700 XT a few weeks back, and had quite a few issues from Driver Crashes to GPU artifacting. RMA'd and testing showed no hardware issues

For intel you should definitely consider drivers since if you play older games your not garantueed to be able to play them

That's one of the downsides of social media. Bad information never gets corrected. So it lives on and people use it to make a lot of money. Alienware is an excellent example of this. Alienware is the PC version of Tesla. They created the gaming pc. Much like a Tesla owner, the Alienware owner isn't a PC builder like the Tesla owner isn't a mechanic. The Alienware pc is a turn key system. Turn it on and play your game. It's not designed to have the highest benchmark scores as we know benchmarks don't actually mean you're going to have a better gaming experience. Balance is much more important. It's almost always cheaper to build your own PC. And when everything goes well, it's quite simple. And yet when things don't go well, it can get out of control. Even the best fail to follow basic diagnostic steps and end up causing more problems and wasting money. All because step 1 is always reseat the ram.

yeah but if you're also a content creator or use 3D modeling softwares, nVidia is the way to go.

Even though i agree with what you say. But i am still upset that my 5700XT struggled sooooo much with VR and AMD has no good Filters you can put onto and most importantly still has the Fan Curve Problem

top end 7000 series gpus from amd have some bugs but thankfully pretty much nobody has them

I do simple things in premiere pro with an RX 560. I havent had any experience like this. There was 1 time tho my gpu worked 100% with nothing running. Sesrched around and found something that records your screen all the time. After that went back smoothly. Had this card since 2018 😂. In dire need of an upgrade for sure

The only problem for AMD drivers back when 7970 was released is the memclock can't go to idle on AMD cards when plugged into 2 (or more) HRR displays.

Amd drivers are fine for big games, but much smaller games they have some performance issues or graphics issues. Nvidia works 99.9% of the time

I built a new setup with a 7800X3D and a 4090 to replace my old 4790K + 1080 Ti build. I'm tempted to just sell my 4090 because i've been having so many issues with it like random black screens on my 2nd monitor, and flickering / bars of lights coming out of my monitor whenever im playing.

GONE? Yes I still own a radeon card because the value for performance is great but NO the drivers issues are NOT gone. Some games randomly crash with radeon saying graphics failure. Also, take a look at the known issues list on their website... its MASSIVE

Intel and AMD Linux user enters with open source drivers directly in the kernel. I bought my new laptop with an integrated igpu and as soon I finished installing my os it worked already at full power after changing just the governor.

Thing is with me, the only game I play (being Geometry Dash) hasnt been updated in ages and has very common issues with amd parts. However, the game is much more cpu intensive so I dont really need a super high end gpu. My current gtx 970 probably all im ever gonna need lol

Rx 6600xt 1 year 0 driver issues/ rx 6700xt 7 months 0 driver issues, only time they crashed was when twiddling w oc and undervolt settings seeing how low mW i can run

For a year, I never once encountered issue with AMD drivers. I think people overwrite old drivers that causes issues, I highly doubt it this is the case 🤔

As someone that has an amd cpu and an nvidia gpu, the radeon xperience app is LIGHT YEARS away from geforce experience, geforce experience is the most annoying app I've used for my pc tbh

I’ve only had an issue with nvidia drivers on laptops never on a desktop. AMD outta the box kept reverting the downloaded driver for forza. It’s mostly about your experience, and since most people don’t have enough money to have both, it’s better to choose the most trusted well known card to work with.

not gonna lie ive been using amd for like 2 years and switched to nvidia recently in october and in both of the gpus never gave me driver issues

I have heard all the problems the ARC GPU had. Faulty drivers, lagging A LOT in a games, lacking performance, so I considered to get an RX 6700 XT. (OFC can't afford NVIDIA). However, I see how much Intel has improved and to be honest it is a difficult decision. FSR and RSR are great and supported in many games I would like to play, but the Intel XeSS technology is also supported in some games I fancy.. Intel discounting the limited edition was the only reason I locked in for the 6700 XT. I don't like a lot the Acer implementation with 16GB VRAM.. All the other ARC A770 are only 8 or even 6GB VRAM, which OFC I wouldn't take into consideration.

I not a always a fan of driver updates. Quiet a few games ran great for me on my 3070 and then I lost performance with new updates. Not always the case though sometimes it would indeed improve performance.

Who said AMD was no good? My rx 560 lasted me 5 years before needing to upgrade. and truth be told, it could've lasted me a little bit more if I didn't want to try out Ray Tracing.

Who came up with the phrasing, "AMD drivers are more likely to be high impact"? That's true going by the chart but that's definitely the way Nvidia's marketing department would want it spun when they have more high impact issues open.

I just use Geforce experience to know if theres anew update then manually download and do a clean install myself.

Yeah, my GeForce Experience just yeeted my 3060 driver one day and I had to reinstall it. Not before nearly pulling my hair out because I couldn't figure out for the past 3 hours why my card was not running my vid output though.

*New* AMD cards sure, even with latest AMD drivers, 5600xt and 5700xt ive had runs into so many black screen problems and small things like its recording software conflicting with wallpaper engine causing recordings to not capture game. Unless its a solid old card like the RX500 series, or the new series I can not confidently say to get it for the same reasons NVIDA. If you want a shadow play like feature on AMD? I dont like it as much ,just use medal. If you want to buy used AMD cards made a 3-4 years ago, id be worried. They are prob selling them for good prices because they had driver issues and just want NVIDA lol.

Had a 1660 Super, tried custom resolution, 60Hz to 75Hz, didn't work in every game, had artifacts at times, quite often actually even without the custom resolution Now, 6600, 75Hz works in every game, no artifacts whatsoever

I'm switching back to AMD for the first time since 2012 because of Nvidia's nonsense. I just copped a laptop with a 7735hs CPU and an rx 7600s GPU. Hopefully it's worth while.

idk i just returned all my amd gpus because of the green screen of death and every system I have. went to the rtx 4070 and haven't had any issues on any of the systems

I have already had so many issues with nvidia drivers it is staring to really piss me off.

Guys ....everyone releases gpus......then bugs becuase you cannot possible prepare for all the different hardware setuos eveyone has.....they fix them......then hopefully the new bugs created arent worse than the last. They fix again and the cycle repeats until the end of the hardwares support life cycle.

The exception: if you're on Linux the Nvidia drivers are GARBAGE whereas the open source AMD and Intel Drivers are top tier.

linux drivers are fine for both, though amd has better support due too their open source nature

I don't download Geforce experience. Adrenaline is rubbish too, but I like some features. It has a tendency to forget settings though or just ignore your fan profile. Also I feel like AMD cards act a little clueless without it, but Nvidia cards are fine without Geforce experience.

My nvidia dGPU has given me more issues than my AMD iGPU. The Nvidia issues subsided a bit after my most recent distro hop to Tuxedo, but they still pop up now and then.

Dude AMD drivers and not as bad as they were used to be but people still find a driver that works and stick to it for as long as it's possible. AMD makes people treat their pcs like servers. It's not acceptable.

When you run dual or more monitors on amd more then 60 hz on it - the vram always run on max frequency, and this trash didn't fix yet
