Graham, I have said it before but " YOU MAKE ME SICK, with ENVY !!!. Every video of your scenery just gets better and better !!! Man, you have one LARGE estate and lovely too... When do you find the time to do ALL you do, working on the layout, gardening, running around, I can hardly get up in the mornings let alone do all the things I NEED to do around my VERY small house/garden. My weeds are NOW higher than me and I am 5ft 7in. Your layout ( even at this stage ) REALLY NEEDS to be published in the Model Railroad Magazines!!!! Once again, WONDERFUL job and lovely house ( real one ) !!!! I AM SO JEALOUS, maybe that is why I can't finish my layout as I wouldn't come even close to YOURS and my 3 other heroes!!!!

wthwing Thank you my friend. I made a decision never to spend any more than 4 hours a day in the train room and I haven’t been in the train room since Tuesday so not every day by any means. That way it keeps me fresh on ideas and always keen to get back after a few days away. No need to be jealous mate, you can be envious but not jealous which are two different things. I’m envious of all the skills and talents of the big boys on KZfaq and Facebook but not jealous of them, I have the most wonderful wife and cute dog that trumps whatever they have over and over again and I’m just thankful of that. Having said that then I’m flattered and honoured that I am one of your four model railway hero’s. 😉👍🏻. Cheers for now buddy. ............Graham

The village is looking good Graham, coming along nicely. Maybe it's because the scenery is "personal" to you, or maybe it's the scratchbuilt buildings, but nothing in the village looks "forced", it seems quite natural. 👍 Looking at the classic cars and the traction engines, today's OO scale road vehicles are *so much* better than they used to be, and there's such a huge range available. It looks like we're witnessing the first year of the "Lakeside Festival of Transport". Once you get round as far as the heritage line, all that will be missing is vintage buses and motorcycles - maybe food for thought there.😁 Cheers for now, Dougie.
@GrahamFoulston4 жыл бұрын
2H80vids Hi Dougie, I do have some old buses and there are already old motorcycles on there already so I may add the buses or just swap the traction engines out for the buses to just ring the changes now and again but at least I have the choice and as you say, they could even go in the yet to be built car park of the heritage line at the back. Cheers for now. ............. Graham

I love building up small cameo scenes like the traction engine rally and the Morris Dancers, you can let your imagination go and just make a scene up that you remember from somewhere else, I’m lucky in that I’ve seen these in the village where I live so it wasn’t that hard to do plus I had them on my previous layout too. Well done on getting over 5,000 hits on your last video, that is outstanding sir - well done you! 👍🏻👍🏻. Cheers for now mate and catch you later in another video. ...........Graham

Hi Graham I like the fact that having done so much work on your actually house and garden You’re now replicating it on the layout that seems a bit of a first to me. When you do the final work on the pond. How about a fish or two under your water lilies With your artistic skills it will be Doodle But knowing you it’s already on the drawing board 🤣 Best wishes and kind regards Mike
@GrahamFoulston4 жыл бұрын
AMARCY53 Hi Mike, we have no fish in the small formal pond, we tried it once but a Heron wiped them all out in one visit so no fish in that pond. I will try and add some fish in the informal pond when I get to building it - that should be fun! 😂😂. Cheers for now mate. ............ Graham

Looks absolutely amazing Graham. I like it because we are both modelling scenery that has meaning to true life. Really like it Graham and when I saw you released this it was 2 minutes after realease and had no views! By the time I had finished it had loads as expected from you because your work is excellent. Great video as always mate. All the best, Lee

Lee Whall Thank you very much Lee for those kind words my friend, it’s true that we both model along the same lines, creating small scenes that we see throughout the day and for me, it’s great fun to try to capture it in model form. 👍🏻👍🏻. Cheers for now mate. ............ Graham

Cracking progress Graham, the village looks great and can’t wait to see it completed. Lol! I’ve had 66 views in the past 24 hours so just behind you so watch out! Kind regards John

Exehaven Harbour Well John, I had no views or very little when I first set up my YT Chanel and I think from what I’ve seen so far then it won’t take you long to get 100’s of views regularly so just keep doing what you are doing and you will get there soon - it does take a little while to get started but it soon accelerates once you get a few videos under your belt! 👍🏻👍🏻. Anyway, glad you like the progress so far. Cheers for now mate. ............. Graham

Its morning for me when watching, so morning Graham, what can I say that's not been said your attention to detail is astonishing loving all the figures, boy sprouts Morris men lady calling her child, their brilliant, where do you get your figures from and I'm sure you must adapt to fit your layout, the village is amazing looking forward to the next one already. You and your good lady stay safe see you on the next one Eddy xx
@GrahamFoulston4 жыл бұрын
eddy weller Many thanks Eddy for that very kind comment, it’s greatly appreciated. I tend to get my figures from anywhere I can see them but it’s becoming increasingly difficult to get them without duplicating some. I had quite a few carried over from the previous layout which has helped a lot. You stay safe too my friend and all the best to you. Cheers for now mate. ............ Graham

Glad you told us that the water in the formal pond was yet to go off - I thought for a moment you had a swimming pool! ;-)
@daviemaclean614 жыл бұрын
PS - Not sure how you intend to do your thatched gazebo (for want of a better word!) but I recently watched a Luke Towan tree house video and he used static grass which, before the glue had gone off entirely, he then "combed" down to a very good representation of thatch. Cheers
@GrahamFoulston4 жыл бұрын
davie maclean Hi Davie, no it should dry clear with the sides and bottom being black as in the real life version. When I made the thatch on the cottage I used Plumbers Hemp which is great for building model thatch but I can see that static grass would work too. Cheers for now mate. ............. Graham

Another great update. Love the overgrown shrub near the road and bus station, certainly captures the non maintained look. Keep up the great work Graham, since you can't respond due to KZfaq I look forward to your million pound cheque in the post to me awesome lol kidding :D. I have had that posted something but I did find it in the withheld comments area which was weird lol. But had luck with the PC rather than phone or iPad at times. Well going to enjoy a track side cam shot of the embankment it will look great. Take it easy and look forward to your next update.

Beautiful, Graham. If you still have your lambretta, could you do a video showing that off? Fantastic scooter. Regards, Henry.
@GrahamFoulston4 жыл бұрын
henry porter Hi Henry, unfortunately I sold the Lambretta some while ago now, I did what I wanted to do (do the Lambretta up and culminating in the Mod Weekender at Brighton) and once that was done then it was time to sell it. I still see photos of it occasionally on Facebook which does make me feel a bit sad seeing it but at least I know it’s getting some good use out of it. Cheers for now mate. ..........Graham

@GrahamFoulston4 жыл бұрын
Stu Findlow Hi Stu and thanks for the comment. A good suggestion for me to show the next stage of the build, as long as I can get the camera in the correct position then I will do that, there will be some serious editing I’m sure so you don’t hear the expletives and me having a crafty smoke in the process! 😂😂. Cheers for now mate. .......... Graham

I really enjoyed your motor scooter trip and wondered if you had any footage of the restoration,would be very interesting to me and many others,also you mentioned the detailing of Hazel's mini,any footage?would make a couple of good videos!

Billabong O'neill Hi mate and thank you. I don’t have any videos of the scoot or Hazels Mini unfortunately - just some still photos which I don’t think would make a good video especially as there are so many other good videos out there. Hope that helps. Cheers for now mate. ...........Graham
