September 2022: Team V3Cars drives the upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV with the mild hybrid manual powertrain to find out how it feels to drive in the real world. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara mild hybrid makes 103PS of maximum power and 137Nm of peak torque, and the on-paper output is not exciting. So after driving the car for almost 100km, we find out whether it feels underpowered or not.
The highlight of this powertrain is the fuel efficiency, which is claimed to be 21.11kmpl. We find out whether the actual mileage (fuel efficiency) is in the similar range or not.
Besides discussing its performance at large, we also take a look at the exterior and interior design of the car, and tell you how attractive and spacious it is.
Maruti Suzuki is yet to announce the prices of the Grand Vitara.

Very nice review. How effective are the headlights of grand vitara considering there is just 1 headlight where either near or distant headlight can come on at a time? This is problem with all Marutis and leads to inadequate lightening during night times

Hello sir. Firstly, I love the way you review the cars. That is much honest. Secondly I would like to know on paper dimensions is saying it's height is more than hyundai creta, but when I seen the car I felt it's seating position is lower than creta. Do you feel the same. ? Is it's Seating position same with s cross.

One request to you. Please add the engine tab in video. Even though they are covered later but it is not given importance. So we go on searching about engine options. You are absolutely phenomenal!

21L on Road= Zeta+ (Strong Hybrid) 15L on Road= Zeta (Mild Hybrid) 45L on Strong Hybrid = 1000KM (Approximate) 45L on Mild Hybrid = 600KM (Approximate) Is it worth investing 6L extra on strong hybrid or is it worth if i keep that 6L in FD and buy mild hybrid which inturn i think will give decent returns which compensates the strong hybrid mileage. Also in case of strong hybrid after around 8 years should i invest around 6L+ on new battery?? Where as incase of Mild Hybrid, i would have saved 6L initial and also would not require to invest 6L on extra upgradation after 8 years. Please let me know if my calculation is correct?

I recently booked grand vitara alpha MT ( black colour).. Hope will get The Queen within 2 months ( they told that is waiting period).. It's very comfortable and premium feeling car in this segment.. Though power is less, but handling is too good.

Nice and precise review. Thx for the test on hill roads. Mileage tested at 100kmph is at 16 so it will give 20-22 when driven at 80kmph which is slightly lower than Full Hybrid manual model as per mileage(26km @80 kmph driven 1250km) test done by other reviewer. I feel,its better go for this model rather full hybrid unless the price variance is not more than 1L.

Another best review on KZfaq on Grand Vitara. Sir, I booked Allgrip variant 1.5months ago. It’s fulfilling my every requirement 100%. But the only major concern is the Thin net of the sunroof. The only thing which making me to think to cancel the booking. Please suggest/help whether it is practical in Indian summer??? Thanks again.

There is not problem in that thin net. It is used in luxury cars and doesn't let heat come in.

I think Maruti should include an RS version with every new model, even on a made to order basis, they will be able to judge what buyers want. I abandoned the test drive midway thanks to it super boring performance. Good looking car let down by Maruti’s middle class mindset.

@@kingsingh6393 in mild hybrid engine will run the vehicle. In strong hybrid battery and engine both will power the vehicle. Mild hybrid also has a small battery but that is only used to start and stop the car
