Originally come from Istanbul, Türkiye 🇹🇷, now living in Germany. Back in my childhood, mom used to cook for us this delicious meal called by us “mücver”. You could also use zucchini (adding chopped parsley, dill). While watching, I hugged this dear mom in my heart every minute ♥️. Her house looks like ours back in the 1960’s on the Bosporus in Istanbul, with the only difference that ours was at sea where you could spring from the window into the water. That lovely cat was talking to the cameraman, never miss such coincidences, cause we always had cats 🥰which were our darling friends. Ps. I have a wonderful colleague with whom I used to work with, (from Rumania) (whom I call my son Daniel), is now in Istanbul with his girlfriend for his holiday. I have brought no son into this world, but in years Daniel became actually my son ♥️). Sending much love, regards and warm hugs to you “ anacığım” (this is how we call all precious moms in Türkiye). Happy Mother’s Day ♥️

Giulian, Your content is special and unique featuring historic cultural recipes known only to the Romanian Carpathian peasantry. As a history major that grew up on an 800 acre wheat farm, I was only instructed about Western European history. The Eastern European countries are basically unknown by the majority of people that are not from that region. Plus the Soviet collapse has made it possible to open up these regions to the rest of the world with the invention of social media. I feel like I'm rediscovering Old Europe after WW2, but this time it's an Old Eastern Europe that hasn't change much since WW2. Your beloved Romania needs to be preserved and protected from outside developers! I pray you're able to do this by sharing the simple side of Romania so it doesn't change!

Delicious, beautiful video, we use vegetable peeler and vitamixer blender,.......chop potatoes about 4 russets add 1 egg some garlic 3 or 4 or more, salt if you like pepper.......process....smooth....into large bowl add slowly flour to thicken as for pancakes as little as possible , 1 tsp baking soda optional.......heat peanut oil quarter inch or so in iron pan or heavy pan.......by spoonful carefully, don't splatter if too thin, add spoonful or more flour.... fry.......delicious with sourcream......
@Lori_LАй бұрын
Thanks...I was wondering if that was baking powder or soda. It seemed like she used a lot of flour though but you say not a lot. We have something similar in Judaism called a latke eaten during the holiday of Hanukkah - except without the garlic
