Easily the best game of the series, so entertaining. Great to see danya challenged, and the analysis portion was extremely educational. Seems to me that as you ascend above 2k subtle mistakes and inaccuracies make or break the position. as we see here, his oponnent was 700 elo below his actual strength but still played out relatively even until the endgame and essentially lost under time pressure
@pharmokan3 жыл бұрын
this is why stronger players can't have 1 eye closed even though they are 900+ elo points more than their opponent. That's whats so great about this game. It's not the same as when you compare it to tennis.

I feel like when you’re really good it is a better representative but wacky things can happen lower down cuz it’s just more random
@schmitgreg3 жыл бұрын
I've found (as a ~1000) that when I play opponents who blunder a lot I get higher accuracy not because I'm a genius but because the best moves are often very obvious. When I play against better opponents, even if I play my best game, my accuracy is lower because finding the best moves is a lot harder and I fail to do that.
@tehaaronjelly54733 жыл бұрын
@@schmitgreg is totally correct. If you want to know how well you played, you should actually look at both yours and your opponent’s accuracy. If they are both high, your play was very good. If yours is high and your opponent’s is low, you may have played well, but it’s not as good of an indicator of strength. Another odd thing is that you can in fact win a game where your opponent’s accuracy is higher than yours, if they play one game losing blunder, for instance.
@Evilanious3 жыл бұрын
Bit of extra context. The computer also becomes considerably less useful when you are overwhelmingly winning or losing. In such situations the loser wants to complicate and the winner wants to simplify, whereas the engine prefers the quickest mate and assumes perfect play, disregarding human fallibility. Sometimes I get 'missed wins' because I didn't win the way the engine prefers.
@blackkimchi51113 жыл бұрын
@@Evilanious That's actually not quite correct, "missed win" is for calculated lines that win by force specifically, the Chess.com analysis will simply say your move is a mistake/inaccurate if there isn't a forcing line that wins overwhelming material/is checkmate. If there is a line that meets those criteria, it is a "missed win".
