I have a hard time doing the simplest dovetails (only started about a year ago, self learned) and then this absolute mad lad goes "huh I need some thin square rods" and just straight up cuts them out of a 6x4 by hand with laser accuracy. I'm envious, impressed and dumbfounded, all at once at what a lifetime of dedication to the craft achieves.

There should be a few Grandpa Amu’s out there in China who aren't KZfaqrs. After all, China was at the top of the handcrafts industry just like the U.S. and Europe is at the top of the modern machinery industry. Fortunately or unfortunately, China is modernizing and doing it rapidly. Therefore, generally speaking, many handcraft skills will be inevitably lost forever and ever.

A block of wood cut into small pieces with precision using Bow Saw and sandpaper only. For me this is BS, a power tool was used. This is Chinese propaganda, we are better using only bow saw and chisel, cut into precision square. No fences, no NC, no band saw etc, just bare hand Magic.
