My old dog would dive 8 maybe 10 feet down in the water. Bring firewood. Open and close the cabin door. Help hunt. Help pack his own food. Help pull boats up to the dock or beaches. Guard the camp. Guard the kids. All sorts of stuff. A good dog is hard to deny.

i want to believe he is happy, and has lead a fulfilling life before moving here, as i believe it is difficult to completely overcome loneliness this way. this is a very optimistic soul right here, but i can't help but feel depressed watching him, he said no one would give him food in town without money as a joke, but the reality of it bothered me a bit. i really hope he can have a happy life. a dog's lifespan is not long, and a man's body gets weaker as he ages, a man gets ill. so many things could go wrong. i am incapable of providing anything to this man but i hope someone in the world will.

It sounds as if Mikhail might be suffering from a touch of congestive heart failure and/or asthma. He sounds as if he is breathing through a straw and belly breathing with his shallow fast breathing. He could possibly benefit from some steroids, allergy/asthma medication and lasix to help pull the excess fluid from around his heart and lungs. Wishing Mikhail and Bulchut many more happy years together.
