Let's take a look at the classic BBC Micro game. This video has been the bane of my life for the last two months. The toughest video to research, toughest script to write, and an absolute nightmare to edit together. I'm so glad it's done, and I really hope it makes you smile :)
Featuring the voice of HDE's totally unoriginal gaming show / @hdestotallyunoriginal...

If it’s not music from an Amiga or the game I am reviewing in the video, I probably got any backing music from purpleplanet.com.
Sometimes I use gaming-related content (such as adverts). It takes a huge amount of time to make my videos and using these helps immensely, but if you see your footage and I didn’t credit you, PLEASE let me know so I can put it right.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my channel :3

KZfaq algorithms recommended you and I was hesitant when I saw the costume and skimmed the intro... but your character isn't random or wacky or overly energetic. You're like a young version of a really weird aunt that all the kids in the family love.

I'm glad you were able to overcome the depression to be able to resume making videos, after you said people told you you were too old for it. I'm glad you didn't listen to them. There's always going to be mean people like that on the internet, but understand that they are the minority and the rest of us do appreciate you making these videos.

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mLGWmLN-mNrTpJs.html Here's the video where she talked about it. It was a combination of her age and her gender. There's a lot of video game youtubers her age or older (AVGN, etc.) but no one harasses them and tells them they're too old to be doing what they do, but because she is a female some people had a problem with that. It's definitely a double standard.

The Beeb was an amazing machine: capable of surviving a nuclear war - or a classroom full of kids, had some fun games to play, you could mix both BASIC and Assembly, and we once came into computer club early and caught our computer studies teacher having it off with the Maths teacher on top of the desk where all 8 (yeah, 8 computers in the school - well rich) Beebs were sat.

Thanks for solving a mystery for me. Seeing Chris Serle & Ian McNaught-Davis being presenters of BBC's The Computer Show brought it all back. A real blast from the past. The BBC micro B was certainly the preferred choice of computers in schools and colleges to learn BASIC with, but they used to get hot to the touch where I could have fried an egg on them. The ones we had at my old college were connected to a central "server". This way, someone on one BBC Micro could send messages to another person on a BBC micro, but it all took place in a single room so it would have been cheaper and easier just to talk across the room but I couldn't help surreptitiously typing rude messages to others in that room while the lecturer was occupied with something else. And that to mind, I could say that I have sent my first ever "electronic message" in 1983, all well before emails & the internet even got going.

Used to own one of these fantastic machines back in the early 80s. It was way ahead of its time, with a powerful onboard BASIC which also allowed for embedded assembly routines; several onboard chip sockets that allowed for processor expansion and for the addition of third party ROM programs. And the icing on the cake was the games made for it, including one very special game called ELITE, that became a cult classic game that ushered in the 3D space simulation genre. It went through several evolutions for other gaming platforms right up to this very day where its now called ELITE DANGEROUS. Great video presentation by the way.

One of your best videos ever. I had... I have... a BBC B as a boy (actually, I gained seven of them over the years). Although a niche machine and limited on graphics, it's pleasing to see in the last couple of years it's actually started to become recognised for some of this quality output... in amongst some right old tat. By coincidence, in the next few weeks I'm hoping to start a BBC games-reviews-in-a-minute channel. Granny's Garden. Horrance. Horrace IN Granny's Garden. It doesn't get much better! The graphics on these educational games hardly show the Beeb of to it's best (it can do a LITTLE better) but it's amazing how many people remember playing this. I do have the original of this game, and a digital version, so can still enjoy it. Another remembered BBC educational adventure you might want to cover sometime is Geordie Racer. (By the way, my Dad eventually fitted a speaker-mute switch to my original BBC B, after many "Turn that noise off" / "I can't. I'm right in the middle of a game. And winning" tear-drenched incidents).
