Күн бұрынTo mark the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, our Monach for the past 70 years. All bells fully muffled, except the tenor bell which is open at back stroke. Rounds and Called Changes rung on the middle six, whilst the tenor bell is tolled. Various combinations were rung between 12 noon and 1pm, 9th September 2022, but the tenor kept ringing for the full hour.

Rip Queen Elizabeth 😭 i rung fully muffled in memory of her today at barrow and dalton and tolled the tenor 96 times at dalton today in memory of her

Oh... This is very haunting, mournful, sombre indeed. The mix of the middle 6 whilst the tenor being tolled has an overpowering effect. I like how you and your band have done it. Rest in peace Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

@@user-kf6jv5jk2j this is a protocol for ringing during the period of national mourning, all bells except the tenor bell are fully muffled (both strokes), but the tenor bell is open at backstroke.

Great ringing, 1st load of call changes sounded like what I been ringing on Abel recently that was remembered from ringing at Deeping St James 30 years ago.

Is there any way you can video the Hastings Stay's operation, I learned to ring on a Stay and Slider system. There was 1 church in my previous location that used Hastings Stay which I managed to climb a long ladder to get to see the bells and have looked at the toggle on the top. I always found them interesting.
