This ended up being such an amazing portrait! I love the intricate rendering, and the amount of character and life that you managed to capture in her face. The tips on drawing hair were particularly helpful as well! 💜

Aw thank you Becky! I wasn't exactly sure how to translate this drawing into videos for my channel, but I really had fun with the drawing process and just explaining what I was doing at certain points:)

AWESOME! I like your soothing voice as you describe your approach and the graphite/charcoal process taken to complete your work. It's a looong time since I've worked with charcoal bcuz I just remember the mess, but you have a CLEAN WAY of working with them. It's the combo of graphite that helps keep it clean too. I never tried the combo myself. Anyway, Thanks for sharing your process.

So glad you liked it and thanks for watching:) I know what you mean, most charcoal is messy and I also don't love that aspect of it, but this way is what I've found works best with the least mess!😀

This turned out so well! I love how you captured everything, the detail in the hair as well. I know what you mean about cutting your portraits off. I find with animal ones I tend to fade them out just below the neck. Other stuff it helps to put a border of tape under so you get that crisp line. Honestly I think it comes down to personal preference really. I have seen some people end their portraits in a weird triangle thing so... :)

I just like to cut off a drawing by puting a light line for the border then just stopping shading at that line, and it ends up looking decent. You did awesome on this portrait

I'm still thinking about an online shop, so far I sometimes sell work locally:) but right now I'm focused a lot on tutorials and starting a patreon! Watercolor is definitely a looser medium and its best to just have fun with it:) I like how your landscape turned out
