@@Graslu00idk why you are stopping after a phase shift during the boss, where the music changes I'm assuming it's because you can softlock the game if you kill him before phase 2, or because you simply can't damage them during the phase shift

I always think its cool when something is smooth and efficient so it looks like its slow/relaxed when in fact its really fast.

It probably has to do with the fact that the player is forced to shoot and reload to the beat of the music.

Just a question, what font does BPM use? Nice run btw, jesus 5 mins on odr, meanwhile my first complete run on odr took me almost an hour

Maybe this is a bit of a silly question, but are you the same Graslu mentioned in the "Graslu - The First (Completed Sanngriðr on Hellish.)" achievement? If so, I can see that you indeed did earn it, judging by only this video. Either way, very good run and nice luck too. Congratz! Edit: Saw your Sangridr run. Congratz again for being the first to do such a feat. It took me around 150 attempts to get decent weapons and the shield ability to get through it. I got hit 3 or 4 times and the shield really saved my ass, not gonna lie.

Thanks and yes! As you already saw I'm the same Graslu. The shield also saved me on the first completion, I actually got a new speedrun of Sanngridr in 14 minutes but I have yet to render and upload it.

I lured him to the pit, he falls and dies there and it's really easy to do it with Odr as you can just fly above said pit.

I dont know much about the game's different characters yet, or the Hard mode. so i have a few questions about this great gameplay. Is getting the RayGun in the first room entire luck? Also, why did you choose Odr? and what were you using to teleport across rooms in Asgard 1?

The loot you get on each floor including the chests is completely random each time you play, yes. It was pure luck to get the Ray Gun first room. In speedrunning each character has separate leaderboards, Odr is the one I speedrun the most as I like the challenge of dying in one hit with the trade of being the fastest character thanks to the flight and teleport - which you unlock after completing a run with him on Normal. Completing on Hard gives you the Ultimate ability which is the discount in shops.

There's no way to know unless you have the map, half of everything is luck.

hello! i got this game a few days ago and im wondering why you wait a few seconds before finishing off the bosses. like in 3:36 thanks in advance, and great run!

Thank you! The laser gun overheats if you click too fast, which is why you can hear those beeps but nothing coming out. For finishing off the bosses it's still faster to go through said overheat but if you shoot every beat instead of beat + half beat you can avoid it overheating, and may be faster depending on the situation. If you see my other runs where this gun isn't present, you'll see I just finish them off as fast as possible. It's a small trade off for using this gun.

I make my hand twitch real fast while clicking yes, if that's what the term is called. Doesn't help as much here since the gun overheats.

You can lure him off the pit, he jumped off and died. Not entirely sure if it was fixed.

Is the objective of the game to kill at the rhythm of the music or does that just coincidentally happen when you shoot your guns because it was designed that way?

You can only shoot, dash and use special abilities when on beat, if you try to do them off-beat it won't work and you lose the multiplier.

Hey if you don't know a thing about speedrunning BPM, maybe learn a bit before throwing silly accusations. Pausing the game after loading a level is done every time to get rid of the blur so you know where to go after seeing the map.

I just can’t figure out how to beat Nidhogg on Odr normal difficulty without getting super lucky and finding the teleport. Hasn’t come up in any of my runs so far, and I’ve died on his big growing ring every time.

You get the teleport after beating it once, for the ring just stand really close to it and move inside when not expanding. You can also try to find the shield that gives you an extra life, or the spell that makes you invincible for a single hit.

I recommend it if you like rhythm games and shooters. It may be hard to get into at first but once you get the hang of it it's great.

The multiplier is always there by default, if you don't see it, make sure you have auto-rhythm off. That will disable any extra multiplier bonuses.
